Check out Making of a Supermodel Nigeria on http://www.modelsearchnigeria.com/
Auditions are free and winner gets 1million Naira, a car and modeling contract with D1 Model Management London…..
The making of super model nigeria never happened the only competition that has given car so far is nigeria’s next super model
I’m actually quite surprise (or not!) that it says ‘West Africa’s Next Top model’ and the casting calls are taking place in ONLY Nigeria. I’d love to think that there are other countries e.g. Ghana in West Africa.
Its a GRETA opportunity though for West Africans, so I hope all aspiring models seize this opportunity!
Scouting has been done in other WEST African countries… wake up people
She is lovely with the head rolling. its her style.
But we’ve not heard or read on the ‘news’ just Nigerian and New York casting.
There are also 15 other countries in West Africa. Will they scout in all or at lest 50% of the countries?
Does American idol scout in every state? People go to the nearest casting call, right? The same applies here.
OLUCHI is not an AKATA… and she will never be one. she is from
black Africa and 100% nigeria.
You wanna be on top…nah nah nah nah
I wish I were in Nigeria now….mtchewwwwwwwwwwwwww
why is it West Africa?
cant it be Africa? so everyone has a try on it?
u dont heard tyra saying South America’s next Top…
or North or East
just say Africa..but whatever. It will come up one day
I also wonder why. I cant think of a logical excuse as to why they wouldn’t.
All these little, little divisions that seem like no big deal, end up creting rifts btw Africans.
Let there be one United Africa!
When Tyra says ‘America’ she means the country, USA…Africa is a continent with over 50 countries….There’s British next top model not European for example…..
Africa is too big and diverse to be lumped together. I’ll rather Nigeria’s next top model instead of West Africa’s self.
Well first Africa has many tribes which I believe leaves no where but down. How can we as a people say we are Africans and yet we see difference with ppl from our own country. Its 2009! We are the new generation, really especially for those raised in America and europe, they stress out to not be racist or prejudice. And that title WEST Africa is just another way to group people and leave other ppl out. That’s why Africa sucks in everything. Sorry to say it. We do bc we always see that we must seperate from one another. So when u say West Africa that does not include, the South, The north or the East. Unfair! And if we dis get regions of Modeling competition, this person will be East African, West, etc. While an outsider can’t even tell the differences b/t us tribes. There like, “Umm arent yall from the same place? Ur black? right so what’s the difference? other than religion.” And that makes me laugh bc they are right.
Even when i told my mom that I wanna open a restaurant, she found it hard to believe. So I asked her what’s wrong and she said, “Well the thing is Africans are ethnic people they do not like to work with one another. Its mines, mines and mines. Look at the policics. If we worked well together we would have many stores that are titled African, go there and see Enjera, Chapati, Malt, couscous and other foods from all over Africa. But we dont. People use that name Africa as if we are united, but we are not. It 2009, and all this new modernization should start doing big like other white nations who dont see differences if u come from East Europe or West Europe, bc most of the times blacks dont know what area of Europe whites come form if they all look alike. thanx.
it can’t be africa next top model, cos africa is too friggin big…..criously..i know u wanna say america is big also..but try and compare the populations…it would just be a really long process if it was the whole of africa……go nigeria!!!!!
it is a shame that after the girls paid their money they have not done the show.it is so sad and people like bella naija never asked any questions. This is the only country the truth is changed to lies and lies the truth. It is a big shame.
west africas next top lies. This is why this country can never see the light cos you bella is part of the cover up.imagine if it was someone else it will be in all papers.Keep lying to your self
i’m an aspiring model who resides in abuja. i need a modeling agency(cies) to work with in abuja. here’s my mobile no: +234-81-33765522. thak u. Sarah.
This is so sad that going to three years this show never happened .Trust Nigerians to mess things up. What do we expect from those who just take and take from a nation without giving back it is a freaking shame. If the bubble did not bust in America these so called Nigerian top this and that will never look at the home front. All of a sudden Oluchi is doing advert for hair in Nigeria when market don freeze for yankee. O model Africa which shut its doors in south africa is still been celebrated in Nigeria and for every ones information there is no more O models Africa. Face of Africa is also gone.
