In terms of stage craft, we are progressing slowly on that directions and perhaps because of the fact that the people appreciates the artiste even when they say Track 5 Track 5 it still makes no difference that the artiste in Africa and Nigeria in especially have something good to offer to the world. nigeria should stand proud. it is great that they are making all this money but America is a different market. They are well known to many in Africa but in America Africans, are scattered. not to talk of Nigerians. The concentration of ppl is not the same. Which endorsements will they pick up here. They can’t expect to get so much when everyone doesn’t know who they are. if Promoter pay p squared de 80’000 the get in africa. Can promoters here fill a staduim to recoup the money. The 9ice concert last year how many ppl showed up? 2 face has been here, faze has been here, Asa has been here too. why is p-squaree expecting to get so much. it is better they focus on Africa and get the money since they feel they are two big for America. The reason artist come here (USA/ Europe) is for globalization. they want to reach their fans in other countries and get the international appeal. i am a fan of p-squared but they have to know the market they are gunning for.

I don’t think it’s up to them to promote themselves. Isn’t it the job of the promoters to promote the artistes they’re bringing in to perform?

well same thing pple will do for yu wen u get to his level…do u realize kennis music are the champion of what is now happening to the industry…..if tuface never went to kennis music….he wont be where he is today….everyone got bad and good side…but i have realised that most africans and nigeria in particular always look at the bad side of pple…shame

i don’t believe these artistes need to try out the American market yet.
there is still so much of this continent to conquer.
all these rush to perform in beer parlours in America and Europe are often not productive.Not worth the effort and if same energy is channeled to organizing proper shows and even learning to improve their stage craft, it will be better.
most of these big artistes are all studio manipulated.no discernible talent on any musical instrument and with the advent of auto cue, no voice.i am tired of hearing “DJ, track 5, track 5″.

well if they could pull as much crowd in America then they can charge $80,000. How are they suppose to pay them more than $10,000 when only 100 peopole will come to the concert. They need to promote themselves well in America before they can charge that much. Americans can come to Nigeria to charge whatever because they are known in Nigeria… and since they don’t understand the concept of promotion they refuse to perform for $10,000 in the states, forgetting that will expose them to American audience.
