Congrats to Nollywood Legend Liz Benson, she recently tied the knot with Bishop Great Ameye of Freedon Family Assembly International Church. Liz was widowed over a decade ago and has raised her 3 beautiful children as a single mother. She married Bishop Ameye in a registry ceremony in Abuja as well as a private church blessing and thanksgiving service. We are so happy for Liz. All the best and lots of happiness.

Nollywood Star, Genevieve Nnaji celebrated her 30th birthday at the newly launched Buddha Bar @ Saipan in Lagos. Amongst throngs of friends, Gene blew out the candles to start a new chapeter in her life – her 30s. Happy B-Day to Gene.

Newlywed Ini Edo-Ehiagwina is back in Nigeria after her white wedding in the US. Ini has been spotted out and about working hard on set and hanging out with friends. In addition, Ini recently celebrated her birthday with an intimate party in Lagos. Friends including Uche Jombo, Emem Isong, 2Shotz, Mike Ezuruonye and Susan Peters took time out to celebrate with Ini. Happy Birthday Ini!

Nigeria’s movie industry fondly known as Nollywood has moved up the ranks. For the last couple of years Nollywood has been ranked as No. 3 in terms of quantity output on the list of film industries worldwide. Last week, UNESCO Institute for Statistics announced that Nollywood has overtaken Hollywood on that list. We wish the quality of the Nollywood movies start gaining as much recognition as the quantity.

Lately it seems like all Kate Henshaw Nuttall touches turns to gold. Kate has been enjoying unprecedented positive PR from the Nigerian press, her movie career is still waxing strong as evidenced by her Best Actress AMAA award which she received last year, she is happily married with a beautiful daughter and is the brand ambassador for Onga seasoning. Still on the latter, Kate is currently filming a new TV cooking show called ‘Time Out with Kate’. The show is exclusively sponsored by Onga and will be syndicated on several television stations.

She started at age 19 in 1998. Celebrated 11yrs in the industry at the same time as her 30th. No be film trick. The girl has come a long way at such a young age and along the way stumbling blocks and doubting Thomases like you came and passed and shes still going on strong. Isn’t she amazing?? Lol!!

Stoping hating! She is 30 years. Her age has always been constant unlike some that lie, she had her child when she was a teenager. Right from when she came in the limelight she has always been the same age as me and I will be turning 30 in November. At least she did not say she is 28 or 29
