BN Exclusive: Nollywood’s brightest & Ghana’s best Glo with pride in Johannesburg

Yesterday we featured photos of the Glo Ambassadors in Johannesburg gearing up for the filming of a Glo TV commercial. Today, we take you behind the scenes, backstage and on-set at the taping in Johannesburg.
To highlight each of the star’s personalities and individual style – they all styled themselves and the result was pretty fab! Ramsey Nouah in his suit, Uche Jombo in her Little Black Dress, Monalisa Chinda Dejo-Richards in her spanish inspired frilly dress complete with a rose in her wavy braided hair, Rita Dominic in her rockette inspired look, Jackie Appiah in her ankara dress with beaded embellishments, Nadia Buari in her bright pink dress topped off with a mass of curly blonde hair – and the list goes on. As you can see from the shots below, the stars got a chance to sing as well! Check out the photos below – Can’t help but get a ‘We are the World’ feel from these photos. We are actually looking forward to seeing the finished product!

The fellas weren’t looking bad. As for the ladie, um, too much lace front and wig! There’s nothing wrong with LFs and wigs, but I am so sick and tired of seeing women rocking these looks as if it automatically makes them look better! If you’re gonna rock it, pleaseeeee, make sure it sits right and looks real!

I loved funke, uche, chioma, and jackie appiah. Funke looked so fresh and youthful and so did Jackie Appiah. Rita I love you, but you’re beginning to wear me out with your wannabe rockstar/punk chic look.
Finally, RAMSEY Nouah and Mike Ezuwhatshisface, it’s absolutely gross to see you both share earphones….ewww…………….

Ok Im loving the whole united feel but please someone needs to tell the Nija actresses to get their hair on point! I dont like seeing badly fixed lace wigs! Just stick to braids like Jackie who looks quite stunning and that fair nija lady at the beginning…and braids has a more Afro feel to it. Nevertheless cant wait to see the ad plus Im quite happy Genevieve, RMD and all other exhausted people are not there…they doesnt seem homely like these set of actors and actresses.

I totally agree with you as per Genevieve, as she would be feeling big (as usual) and keeping distance which the ad don’t portary. As per RMD, he is got a bubbling personality but too old for this set of actors in their late 20′s and 30′s. Kate Henshaw Nuttall, would have blended in perfectly. Lastly, is glo in Ghana 2?

Glo really spent money flying ALL of them to South Africa just to film an add. Isn’t more business savvy to film in Lagos or Accra?
I guess Nigeria is too backward to have sophisticated technology for adverts….unfortunate (confirms artists doing vids in SA).
I love seeing the actors though….they actually enjopy their jobs. Imagine a bunch of 9ja bankers? hehehe

am so upset @ quite a few things (1) the lace wig issue….. infact am not gonna go there , lemme stop right hur! (2) apparently am from anoda planet as i only jst heard that van vicker is MARRIED! omg and it doesnt get any worse ……he also has KIDS, i feel so offended particularly at this like omg omg omg …. i thot i was gon marry him lol!
besides those ISSUES, am genuinely happy for all of them …. this is a great move & hopefully the rumour about them working with the foreign industry is true ….. that’l make even happier.

what is aglo about? just their style?
i like jackie but they always use toooooo much make up on her face. why?? she looks pretty she doesn’t need all that make up. van vicker looks prety cute. i’m starting to dig the hair-cut. i didn’t like him bald. it was really ugly..sorry v.v..I love ramsey he is a good actor. and he is attractive!!! wow!! he doesn’t appear to be as arrogant as some of the actors–nadia buari is the best omg! she is gorgeous!!
Omg and inibong wow she is a sweetheart! i love her personality!!! she is so real. even in her movies..she is just naturally talented compared to others. some of them always fake it.
rita dominic is okay. i like her in some movie, but i dont get why she always chooses to play the roles of prostitution in most of her movies.
