Kiki Clothing: Nigerian-Ghanaian Fashion Synergy
Posted on Wednesday, September 2nd, 2009 at 7:25 AMBy BellaNaija.com
Upon completing her degree at the London College of Fashion, Nigerian/Ghanaian designer Titi Ademola immersed herself in the fashion scene – she worked with renowned companies including Burberry, Betsey Johnson and Nicole Farhi. It wasn’t until she arrived back in Ghana – her mother’s home country that Kiki Clothing was born. What started as a children’s clothing company has blossomed into a fashion house encompassing women’s clothing, children’s clothing and footwear. From her base in Ghana, Kiki Clothing is a popular choice among locals and tourists – she is able to blend Nigerian and Ghanaian influences to create her pieces. The label showed at the recent Exopa Ghana Fashion Week and was featured at the Face of Africa launch in Ghana.

Not really non-Africans but celebs…even european designers get excited when hollywood celebs wear their clothes and lend them clothes for free for the sake of exposure.

what is the non african thingy? there is always some sort of inverted racism. U just look at the surface and make assumptions, esp u guys in the diaspora. FYI, Nicole has got some Black blood, Gat it?

I like the designs. Those kids are so adorable. If I see Boris Kodjoe lookalike anywhere, I’m totally coming after him, only if he’s not married though.
