all the same must bellanaija post only ppl dat claim to b nigerian or ur definition of being nigerian….i say bellanaija is openminded nd if u got sum naija blood running in ur veins u get posted as long as u gt d talent to show for it!!!

I don’t think bellanaija post features mainly based on whether the person in question strongly claims that they are Nigerians or not….It’s more like just celebrating/acknowledging their roots i.e Nigeria…..

sometimes bella likes to give these people labels.
if they arent claimin naija or trying to represent us, why are we labeling them as such? how are we so sure that they even want to be associated with nigerians?
also wale, he makes good music, but i have yet to hear him claim naija or what not. im not sure, so correct me if im wrong.
but he is also all americanized claimin “DC” so what again does he have to do with nigerians, he is an AMERICAN artist as far as i and the rest of the world knows (well people that arent nigerians). we dont hear much from him to even know that he is a naija artist like that.

true, she’s is as Nigerian as she is Irish 50-50. Obama is black and white and he chose black rather than half-caste/ mixed race (anyway its hypodescent way of labeling people in America), so Laura should have her choice.

seriously why is that people just want to force naijaness down her throat. in any interview, laura says and i quote “i’m irish but yes i’m black” or the other way round. when she’s asked about her name she says its nigerian coz her dad is. the babe doesn’t go round calling herself a nigerian or irish/nigerian. my point is why claim someone if they dont want to be claimed. if bella wants to feauture someone of naija heritage thats fine but pls dont give them labels that they aren’t wearing.

And yeah this video has been out for months.

i stumbled across this chic quite by accident, bought a couple of her tracks off itunes, and then TLWA ft’d her… and then it’s like i’m running into her music at the oddest places. rather impressive the number of movies/tv features her music’s been sampled on.

but i’m not sure she’s into the “i’m naija” thing sha.
