1. the punchline is that the idiot is now remembering God- pretty simple
2. a song about rape etc would be a bit depressing don’t u think
3. yes some maids get abused but i assure u plenty of them abuse as well- i know countless nigerians who were sexually assaulted by their housegirls/ boys when they were minors (which by the way in 9ja is under-13) but that, like u pointed out is not what this song is about. if u want to watch something about abuse watch the movie slavemasters. this song is about an affair and parodies the way nigerians quickly turn to God when the consequences of their sins become apparant

Yeah, no doubt it’s could be termed as stereotypical but if you listen properly to the song more emphasis were made on the fact that Ekaette was a great cook and knew how to cater to the guy.How come when the thing is percieved as a compliment, nobody terms it stereotype. Like Calabar women can cook, or they make good partners???.It’s just a song and a name. It could have been Risika, Nneka or Amina!Ekaette just worked better!

As an Akwa-Cross babe, I take serious offense to this video. How dare he? Growing up in Nigeria, we have had many house-girls but none of them was even Calabar or Akwa-Ibom. What craziness is this with him making a song based on a bad stereotype?

And that quote at the end of the song was out of place! Like “wives submit to your husbands”…blah blah…so he can screw the housemaid??! No thanks, if that is what submission means; I’m sure I’ll pass!

Am I the only one who doesn’t find this song remotely funny at all? A man is singing about cheating on his wife with a house help… I’m definitely missing the punchline.
The song isn’t even a realistic picture of what happens to so many house helps who end pregnant by their ogas. I don’t believe that most house girls who engage in sexual relations with their ogas are seductresses who are doing so willingly. From slightly veiled threats to forceful rape, these women (and children in many cases) are abused constantly.
