BN Red Carpet Fab: Temple Muse Christmas Event
Posted on Tuesday, November 24th, 2009 at 9:47 AMBy BellaNaija.com
It’s been a little while since we’ve hit the red carpet for a dose of BN Red Carpet Fab! This time, it was the black carpet at the Temple Muse event held in Lagos on Saturday 21st November 2009. Temple Muse is a Lagos-based luxury retailer which stocks Nigerian brands including Jewel by Lisa, Ituen Basi, Samantha Cole, Zebra and various international brands including Melissa Odabash.
It was all about casual chic at this event which was sponsored by Moet and Quintessentially.
Check out photos below.
We’ll start with our fave looks.
Sike Idowu gets out stamp of approval for this outfit! We really love how she combined the western look of the skinny jeans, tank top and ballet flats with a pop of Africa in the form of a Jewel by Lisa jacket. The jacket was made using a fabric from the Vlisco Urban Beat collection. Her clutch and sunnies seal the deal!
While most went for the casual chic look, Elohor Isiohor went for daytime glam in this pretty grey dress similar to the cashmere-blend Carmontelle Peplum Dress from Victoria Beckham’s latest collection. She teamed the dress with a black Hermès Birkin, pearls and Louboutin pumps.
We pray we look this great when we are in our 60s. Dr. Doyin Abiola looks absolutely amazing in her summary yellow top and beige trousers. She was at the event with daughter Doyin who looked great as well.
Nkechi Okocha looked great in her all black ensemble. We love the mix of demure and rock n roll. Her distressed black skinnies give her look an edge while her frilled top, simple bob hairstyle with an aliceband add a girly touch.
Nike Oshinowo-Soleye is simply fab in this wrapdress paired with metallic heels and a black clutch. Classic!
As we said, everyone looked really fantastic. Check out the rest of our picks below.
So we’ve shown you the red carpet looks, now here’s a look Inside Temple Muse

So,seriously Elohor has over N1M going on right there in bag, shoes, and dress??!!oh boy!money good o!Papa bless me o!!
What does Elohor do exactly? She’s the model agency person right?
Hermes Birkin, Louboutin, and Beckham all at once???
I mean, I want her job!!!!
we neeed this stuff in the states!!!
Nice pixsss!
Abeg what is the name of the brand of weaveon that Nike has on? I see a lot of ladies wearing this kinda weave these days alot. Genevieve wears a similar type. It looks really nice when in loose curls… is it Human Hair? Not lace wig abi? Please someone….
thnx
sike idowu and nike osinowo…. wow!! killed it! ah ahn….
one word: relocate! lol!
sorry o, but that outfit ain’t beckham! very very sure ’bout that. sure looks like it though.
looking hawt tho, loving the bag!
The “Beckham” dress is a lookalike (if you look carefully, the cut isnt exactly the same) but the rest of the stuff is the real deal….Her husband is rich so Im sure she can afford it. Lucky girl.
Everyone else looks lovely as well
Nike Osinowo killed it like 10 million times. LOL. But dang she is glowing seriously. She looks like a retired super model (i mean this in a good way). Sike’s jacket is very chic too. The others ladies look amazing as well.
Yep Elohor’s dress is obviously a replica but still looks nice tho.
Her husband is rich so Im sure she can afford it. Lucky girl?????….LMAO
i dey tell you my sister!!…the thing good!!!
Nike Oshinowo is a fashion goddess! This lady’s sense of style is just naturally occuring and unique like saliva…lol I go be her mentee anytime I go Naija. Ms Soleye, pls are you taking applications????Seriously, she should have a grooming/style school or something. Na she be d KOKO!
Ms Okocha looked nice too. Elohor…gbam. Everyone look so buuuriful. Missing home big time! This is one classy and stylish red carpet…not the usual ‘good, bad and wharrahell was she thinking!!’
Nike Oshinowo is gorgeous!!! she looks s bit like Teri Hatcher here…
Nkechi Okocha stood out to me the most. best style over all. she was classy and simple yet chic.
Bernadette Umeri-Mjalli– she looks good too.
everyone else looks decent.
Everyone looks really nice!
But i must confess i have been looking at Elohor’s Picture over and over again. Elohor you are just too much!
You are one person that i know that has two hermes bag. One in Orange and the other in Black.
You look really classy and chic. I pray to be like you someday!
Besides Elohor, i have to give it to Nike Oshinowo. She’s always so composed and well put together. She’s truly AN EPITOME OF ELEGANCE.
This is my second comment.
Elohor you look GOOD! Keep it up!
As a wannabe Bagalholic or baganista, I swear these naija socialites throw me for a loop each time. Gademn ! Hermes, Mulberry, YSL Muse, Miu Miu clutch (the camouflage Speedy looks suspect though. I’ve never seen a speedy with two zippers before.) I mean a girl bouta go broke in naija tryna keep up!
i think Zara Okpara too is wear CL Flats and i didn’t even notice Doyin abiola’s Chanel belt/necklace at first glance.
I’m iffy on Okocha’s wife’s outfit. Its fine to straddle two “style genres” but i wonder if the ripped jeans are age and occassion appropriate. It fits her but wouldn’t it be more apropo for the beach or lazying about somewhere else?
the hair is called Aunty Funmi hair based in London another level of human hair (higher than brazillian hair)
abi o if i no b panadol eno fit be like panadol dt dress aint same with victoria beckam ok naijas
thats not the VB dress its a similar style…im not beefing o
Just out of curiosity, has anyone here ever shopped at Temple Muse. Is it worth a visit?
Nigerian women are a classic example of class to all other african women, sha this is on point and Nike, damn girl at your age, i dey wish o. As for Elohor, you are milking it girl, we need your job o.LOL, but seriously mad standards set up on this platform, how will some of us cope o, wetin dey happen.
But am very proud of everyone – no crazy makeup and all bad weaves, everyting is just TOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH… WELL DONE. i love everything and that Aunty Funmi hair, abeg, London here i come oooo..LOL
Is this elohor that has the Elite International Franchise??? She looks good. She is always on point. Nike Looks good for her age. They all lok nice…
I have never been to temple muse but my sister has. I heard its for the rich o. A jewel by Lisa dress cost 75k and Ituem bassey from 70k.. Why would i buy ankra that cost N1,500 in balogun market for 75k in temple muse. Its owned by some young indian guys. una try oooooo.lol
I agree with you. Everyone looks nice and not dressed up as if they are going for a HORROR MOVIE audition!
Ladies, I tire oh, these naija women can oppress…. I am interested in the aunty funmi’s hair especially with all the suspect gist I have been hearing about brazillian hair ( lotsa fake out there)..
Funmi hair is 400pounds for 8inches…her salon is at West Hampstead London
The weave might/might not be aunty Funmi’s*just saying o*.Could be Brazilian,Indian,Peruvian,Malaysian,e.t.c ,e.t.c
If you’re in Naija, contact Anuli J-Ekesia on Facebook, she stocks good hair and if you’re in the UK Fioye Akinsola or Aunty Funmi.
But then again,if you can’t afford these hair’s',please source for the highest grade of Premium weave-cheaper and equally good.
And don’t kill or do what you’re not supposed to do to meet up o.Style is inborn and can be cheap or expensive*quote me*
@Funk….you’re not just paying for the N1,500 ankara o…you’re paying for quality and bespoke tailoring, years Lisa has put into building her brand and many more plenty ‘tins’.shey u get?…….Just like Hermes bag and Louboutin shoes,-might be regular quality leather or animal skin you can get in Spain or…*i dont know-but sha you’re paying for the name and brand. So let’s make our names BRANDS so people can pay our worth…What’s all these i’m on about this morning??okkk..im bored.Should find a muslim friend’s house to go to now…Bye.
@ Iris… i think you need to find a muslim friend asap.lol
Are you saying you would pay 80k for jewel by lisa dress? I think Lisa started 4yrs ago and then she was selling for 15-25k she does not have a store or pay any rent. she works from home. Please dont compare her to Hermes or CL. This is ANKRA o. Sooooo if she has a store on oxford street or 5th Avenue how much would she charge? 1m for ankara..lol
We really need to wake up in 9ja..
Anyway all these BIGS girls can afford it…me i no fit
“And don’t kill or do what you’re not supposed to do to meet up o”.”Style is inborn and can be cheap or expensive*quote me*”. Yes beautiful iris you are so right about that
ERRR..
people please be getting your facts right—Yess aunty funmi hair is good quality HUMAN HAIR..but only thing that sets it apart from regular brazilian hair is that she treats it to make it look different.
Where do you want me to start from?
Is it the therma shock treatment they give hair, whereby they boil it and take it out,AND then put it in iceboxes for at least a week, then give it intense oil treatments, blowdry, tong and then slap an exhorbitant price on it?
Aunty funmi sha..naijas and what we fall for…
oh my God!!
was this written by a sane person?
May the almighty have mercy on you.
two Hermes bags is now a definition of humanity?
It is a lost cause.
it is all over.
i expire.
give it up to my lady of style,Mrs Soleye.
When the history of style is written in this country, you place is assured.
as if u know, ladi. relocate to naija, if u can
please ladies, i get my hair from the same supplier as aunty funmi, the hair is high grade brazillian, the lady who supplies hand pics the hair. it is not any different just very high quality. if you want to buy contact me
Please does anyone know what Nike Oshinowo does for a living? I remember her being winning The most beautiful girl in Nigeria Pageant years back…How does she stay fly on a constant..
Nice. I like the concept, it is classy. Tres chic.
RIP Hermes Birkin and Kelly. You were once oh so exclusive. Now you’re at every Lagos party. There was the Sex and The City episode. And the mythical waiting list. What a shame.
If the woman uses good quality human hair then goes to the trouble of giving it further treatment (for a week!) should she not be allowed to get paid for that? That process you described does not sound like something Im prepared to get into so I will have to pay what people charge.
I think you are ignoring a lucrative business opportunity. You know a lot about the process and you have a market of gullible nigerians like me who are prepared to pay, why dont you make your own and let us buy….or perhaps there is more to it than that?
What’s a shame about more people being able to afford those luxury goods? Don’t know why people cringe when many more people have the same things they thought only they could have.
Really?
Buying hair at rock bottom prices as they ALL do and then giving it treatment that does not cost up to 100pounds for at least 100 heads worth if you get my drift and then slapping at least 400quid price tag on it–How much is ice?(they make it themselves and crush it)The oil nko?Do you honestly think it’s special oil?
Please note that this is done in massive quantities and not strand by strand to warrant the price. If you see the “factory” this is produced at,you will want to cane those who pay this amount for the hair–
This is why i laugh hysterically when girls pay this amount for aunty funmi hair and some other kinds of hair.
Most of us assume that paying a certain amount means that the hair is fake–Lai lai…it’s only because those who charge wild prices spread that story.
Testing for original brazilian, peruvian etc is very very easy and NEVER fails.
I have tested it on a £75pack of hair and a £700pack of hair–The 75quid was 18 inches,while the 700 quid was 10 inches
And guess what?
They were both ORIGINAL.
How do i know?
My step mum..;-( works for a hair technicians where they fix,and design top quality lace fronts,extensions/wigs for women with cancer, alopecia etc, hence they source for the hair and treat it with the utmost care,i always tell friends who fix dodgy lace fronts that my step mum will hook them up badly…
And the ONLY hair that warrants and goes up to and over £1000 per head is a kind of Russian hair–and it is the PURE blonde one.Never been chemicaly treated. And there is just ONE place they get it from in the world. All this stars et socialites use that and then dye it to anything they want. But the texture is something else.
And a lot of these women are loaded, and better believe they are not paying 400pounds for 8 inches of BRAZILIAN hair.
All that high grade brazilian hair or peruvian is bull–it’s either genuine human hair or its not.The hair has no grades–why the ladies who sell it do that i will never understand–
And the most annoying is going on facebook and every random babe is selling hair and tagging it for hundreds of pounds–kwa??wetin??
I am going off on a tangent now–as for me–berra believe i am making my own money quietly and neatly…in this same hair business, but i am down another route–
But each to their own–if you want me to hook you up with aunty funmi levels of hair–say hello and i am telling you that you wil pay less than half of whatever length you want..just ask some naija “big” girls”
Everything na film trick o…;-)
9jerians are fabolous, end of discussion!!
