By Bella

We are almost halfway through the Style ME season and there is a big twist coming next week!
This week, its time for another lifechanging makeover.

This week’s style subject is Anthonia Ama Ndubuisi
Anthonia is a 39 year old housewife and mother of 4 children
According to Anthonia, she applied to be madeover on Style ME because her children have said she really needs a makeover!
She will like to improve the way she dresses. For Anthonia, its not all about being trendy.
She simply wants to feel more vibrant and independent.

Style ME host Isioma shares that she can relate with Anthonia as she was 4 children as well!
She knows first hand that while being a great wife and mother is a priority. It is important to feel and look great as well.

Anthonia undergoes her makeover and is revealed in a beautiful wrap dress.
Her cute children also share the moment as they walk into the studio to admire their mum.

Borrowing the words of Peter Ishkhans ‘Change your image, change your life’.
Very apt in this case!

Westernized Nigerians talking down to the ‘meek’ African woman. Talking talking talking for the sake of hearing their own voices! – Where is that woman’s voice!

Simply taking a western format and putting a green and white stamp on it! How original! Absolutely patronising and insulting. Turning African women into Western wannabees with twisted priorites!

yessss oooo. i agree with you Miss B.
i especially with you burramint. ive always noticed the weave thing but i didnt want to comment on it to avoid another fight on bella naija. but ill bring it up anyway.
all they ever do is put a straight weave/wig on someone’s head and a decent so/so outfit and some makeup (not even all that) on someone’s face. nothing about it is a makeover. all they ever seem to do is put a weave on someone’s head.
so people, dont call me bad belle cause this is what i have been noticing since bella started posting episodes here.
all this western crap. what happened to africans having their own identity and own beauty and stop looking up to the west for everything? what kind of mentality is this?

@Abeni So, natural hair is not classy, is that what you are trying to say? Lol, some people are actually brave enough to announce their ‘kolomentality’ wow!

Actually Ladi I think Crazy legs is right. Abeni was being sarcastic. Read between the lines. She put a question mark after ‘Yea’.
