The reality show, Gulder Ultimate Search has enjoyed a successful run for the last few years. In an ingenious twist, the new season of the show features a new focus – Celebrities!

The 10 celebrities have been sent to the ‘jungle’ (In reality, the show is actually based at the La Champagne Tropicana Resort) to battle it out for the prize. Last week, we were introduced to the show and last night, we enjoyed the first ‘real’ episode.
This is no cake walk! The celebrities were put through some tasks and finally had to fend for themselves by assembling their own tents and making their food on a makeshift firewood stove. Based on this episode, the season is definitely going to be an interesting ride. The male contestants seem to be getting along and Bob Manuel seems to have taken a natural leadership position. Things are not as rosy with the women as there was constant bickering between the female contestants and musician, Muma Gee.
We’ll have to keep watching to see what happens next.

It was an interesting first episode…no doubt. My favorite male contestant might be Daddy showkey for now…and female might be…dunno…they are all acting so immature. We’re in for some fun i can tell.

I think i now understand why Nigerian Senators used to throw chairs back in the days, i mean, just imagine the tension and anger flying around after only a few hours of staying together, could it be that they all feel more important than each other…. beats me!
Anyway, i think their bickering will add spice to the whole show. Dare
has been so matured, Weird Mc too, wots wit Muma Gee? Didnt know Chioma was that outspoken! Bob shld be careful least he gets burned by the self-imposed leadership role!
Hey, this supose to be a show to help the those that are yet to make, and bring them to limelight. Not for those are are already boxed(Rich) what will they do with the money.
Show airs between 9-10 pm on STV, other stations show the same episode later from 10-11pm 11-12pm (NTA). Interesting first show. The bickerings from the ladies made it even more interesting. Guess the most matured lady is Weird MC and Bob is a clear leader. Emeka Ike did not surprise me, with his attitude and wanting to sleep in the ladies corner. Then he went on to tell Princess not to touch him as he is a married man (lol). Can’t wait for the next show.
A very interesting show indeed. Weeee——men….so petty but my favorite celebrity for now is ..give it up for “Weird MC”..cos of her maturity role in the whole drama that ensued amongst the women……

Muma gee did not wrong,just cos she was happy her idea hepled solve the puzzle chioma and that bicthy funke couldn’t get over the fact that muma might just be smarter than they are….as for the girls corner who made it so and i didnt see muma bring his things over he brought them himself!

There will be a lot of in jungle fighting, yeah!, I wonder if the tasks will be hard core like ‘am a celebrity get me outta…’. this is the path to Nigeria’s celebrity BBbro… the line up looks like lots of drama to expect in the camp.

Anyways I happened to catch the first episode by mistake sef! It was filled with Drama!!!! Mehn I think Dare might win just cos he is the quietest then again its the audience that votes right? ..God.. was really pissed bout Funke n Princess’s attitude.. Even if Emeka wants to sleep at d girlz corner(which is wrong), should they have to behave so immatured and make so much noise bout it? Think the Jenifa thing got into Funke’s head and she has been very lousy since she gained recognition from the film…Funke: try to manage your stardom…..

Gosh……..i feel highly disappointed in the way those girls (Funke,Princess and Chioma) behave i thot they are more mature and responsible than what they are displaying……uh i forget this is not script it is reality so they are showing who they are for real.Chioma,i thot you are reserved but you proved otherwise with your behavior. I find it hard to believe that Funke will open her mouth to say she has not heard abt Muma Gee before common girlfriend why the bevy.Haba,is not a crime she is more intelligent than you.

its like “I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Jere” type of thing, mixed with Survivor (although they aren’t really in the jungle, but its naija so thats understandable, working with what they’ve got!)

There is a difference between acting and real life. Why would you think Chioma is reserved, have you ever met her. Just shows that many of you cannot separate fantasy from reality. Meanwhile, a lot of people do not know Muma Gee in Nigeria.

The show is really very interesting. I ve never been a fan of Muma gee but I am
impressed with the way she handles the nagging Chioma. I guesss Chioma
has other things against Muma gee. Bob Manuel failed me by crashing out on
a puzzle contest. the show is an eye-opener
the celebrity showdawn is very fun to watch actually , nevertheless i do not appreciate
it in the sense that , the show and the whole is to give people that are less
priviledge opportunity to make it and prooof themself, but now it the people
that are rich gulder still want to enrich.
