We’ve told you all about the new lifestyle magazine, FAB and now you get to see all the photos from the recent launch of the magazine which was held at the De Marquee, Rooftop Bar at Mega Plaza in Victoria Island, Lagos.
The event was fun, eclectic and of course, fabulous. With a musical performance by Bez and lots of passionate mini-speeches by those involved with the magazine, it was a worthy launch for such a great initiative.
If you haven’t explored the magazine, find a copy as soon as you can. You will be shocked that you feel compelled to tell everyone around you to “come and see what Nigerians can do”. You will be proud! Such a great magazine.

Everybody too fine abeg! Feeling the look of Bez… a very talented artiste too. Ada Jipreze holler back if you are still single mehn!!
Everyone looks nice indeed ….
Toni payne and tara look like clowns. to think both are make up artists and should always b well turned out. toni’s dress was ok, i was happy 4 once she got it right, i looked at d shoes then i silently slapped myself 4 jubilating too quickly. as for tara wat is that ridic hat doing on her head.
First the good- The Tamara girl looks absolutely stunning, best of the night by a long way. Lola Maja is very beautiful, good beauty editor. Funke Ogunde also looked quite nice. Uche Nnaji is definitely the best dressed man, although the LV logo belt is a bit passe.
Now the disasters-Who is this Yvonne person? Fashion editor, seriously? Charity should definitely begin at home. Bez and Terrence should ditch their Topman loyalty cards and grow up ( We have Kanye West to blame for this geek-glasses disaster)! Ugonna Omeruo is normally on point, so she will be excused for this eyesore. Kefee looks like an Ogboni high priestess, so wrong! Sasha and Toni Payne have completely lost the plot as usual, the magazine is called FAB not DRAB! Omoni Oboli should have resisted the urge to wear her curtain, and Tolu Ogunlesi should definitely have waited for Oga in the car. Peace out!
Lola Maja is too fine abeg lol
I loved Deola Sagoe’s ring- just fab!
LWKMD Omena Daniels looks like kpom babes

they are on a red carpet, they are meant to look their best.

i think everything needs a touch of sugar and spice…
ok, i tried to refrain from commenting, bt i can’t let this go…
WHAT IS KEFEE WEARING?!!!!! she just acted a mammy water/ chief priestess role in a naija movie and she rushed from the set to this event? am still looking for the chalk/nzu marks on her…

Not impressed with how certain ladies didn’t ‘bring it’ to the red carpet.
The culprits: Toni Payne, Tara Fela-Durotoye, Omoni Oboli, Banke Meshida-Lawal…

what does ezinne chikanta have on her head. omg! bad photo!
Hi John,
Thank you for your kind words on the event.
Just a quick note, Yvonne is actually called Yoanna. She wearing a couture design by Nkwo Onwuka – perhaps not to everyone’s taste, I sohuld imagine, yet an absolutely talented designer. You can check out some of her work on the link below:

Bola #1
No wahala, you don’t need to sign up to the ‘Who’s Who’ course just yet; it was Tamara’s first visit to Nigeria. She is a make-up and body paint artist who was in Lagos for workshops she ran with Lola.
elle u re hilarious…..
sorry, but we do not care who made the dress. it does not suit yoanna/yvonne, quite frankly it looks very cheaply made and she should really have done better!
paula okunzuwa….u re everywhere these days….
Terrence Sambo, I think, was the best dressed. He went for a look, did it and murdered it. It’s all about confidence and he totally pulled it off. It didn’t look like he was trying too hard. The pants are actually very popular in the Monaco and St. Tropez circles in summertime. Personally I would have worn them with some suede loafers or velvet slippers but still a bad ass look though, Mr. Sambo.
Critica,
Hi Critica,
Her name is Yoanna, not Yvonne – please refer to the above. Have you heard the expression, “Different strokes, different folks”. You’re entitled to your opinion but why insult one of Nigeria’s talented designers’ work as “cheaply made”?
Hey Elle W,
How about you learn how to spell properly? “Higher a stylist…”?
I’m guessing you mean ‘Hire…’
G’luck with it all. Seems like you’ll need it.
aaa
Nigerians are chronic complainers and controllers. This is about individual
style and not what you want the models to wear. Both the male and female
can any color combination they like. Is not about perfection, is all about fashion
and style. I like all the models and their styles
Thank you John D. Says: March 31st, 2010 at 11:40 am. You made me LOL. Nearly fell off my chair!
the men dnt look good in anyway,,,,,,.
It is for the fun of it to like or hate their outfit it doesn’t mean we hate the celebs
themselves nothing personal @Sinem,Yoanna is my friend but still i hate that
outfit on her,she can do better.
Great to see Ms Okwesa’s works. The sky your lounge, ma’am! Keep it up.
