From Nigeria to Texas Oil Wealth – Kase Lawal featured on CNN’s African Voices
Posted on Tuesday, May 18th, 2010 at 11:40 PMBy BellaNaija.com
Most of us first heard of Nigerian entrepreneur Kase Lawal when he was featured in Black Enterprise magazine in 2002. His company, Camac topped their prestigious list of America’s top 100 black-owned firms in 2002.
Its been a few years since that but Camac and Kase have kept up the pace. CNN African Voices interviews Mr. Lawal and delves into his trajectory, he shares the story of how he built his company and the non-profit activities that he is currently involved in, specifically promoting entrepreneurship among Nigerian youth. Definitely an interesting feature.

Impressive. He’s one of the Hustlepreneurs who have been on my dream
board for years!
inspiring
No matter how much inspirational books you read, or podcast you listen to, if
you dont resign from your job, take the risk and start your own business you’ll
neva become like Kase Lawal, Bella Naija knows what am talking about…
@Obi Ibeto, that hurts like hell! but it is the truth.
I agree with Obi Ibeto. Fear of the unknown is the culprit!
Now im thinking……Thanks bella…i like that its not all fashion here….
Inspiring!
This is so inspiring. i really need to get my acts together now. I have just recently started my own business and i pray it all works out. I agree with u obi, people really need to get out of their comfort zone.
@ Obi Ibeto – your comment is hilarious. Are you the Obi Ibeto of Dallas Rooftop Gardens? I admired your guts in taking over the whole high rise if only a little over ambitious. Sorry you had to close down. Back to Kase Lawal, I like the calm and calculated way he speaks. Clearly cool headed. Well done sir.
PS: @Obi – If u are the same Obi Ibeto, I was not a big fan of your Hotel Capri idea. I hope you also find inspiration like us all looking at Kase Lawal and his contribution to the US economy and this what we should all aspire to be (sorry I didnt/dont quite see this in your hotel capri).
LOL at the ‘Obi-inspired dialogue.
I totally love the inspiration Kase Lawal brings to a lot of enterprising young folks. I actually got a job offer from them a short while ago. Great sturdy company!
@ Obi Ibeto: LOL! Gbam! u just hit that nail on my already exploding head. The best corporation u can ever work for is ‘YOU Inc’. Every other thing, na anoda man dream…
