Osaze Odemwingie, Sports & Men! FLAIR explores new territory for their June 2010 issue
Posted on Monday, June 14th, 2010 at 10:21 AMBy BellaNaija.com
Issue 2 of the relaunched Flair Magazine is out on the newsstands now. As we are in a month-long football induced frenzy, it is only apt that this issue fits that theme. The issue is also Flair’s annual father’s day issue. On the cover is Nigerian International, Osaze Odemwingie who talks about going his hopes and aspirations for Nigeria’s campaign at the World Cup. Flair also talks to Yvonne Aiyegbeni on life as a footballer’s wife. American football is also brought into the mix with Frank Okam & Amobi Okoye talking about their careers in the NFL. Definitely something different. Worth checking out.

Ok, dunno what direction Flair intends to go. Obviously trying to get more men to read your mag.
. I guess I have to look else where for a ‘WOMAN’S’ Mag. “Mstchewwww”.
are they kidding me?….you change the name of your magazine and instead of you to go for a smooth transition so former true love fans can continue reading, you take it to a different direction and feature a football player for your 2nd edition???all the headlines are about sports too…what a boring brown cover design too!!damn!!Obviously they are changing the direction of the magazine and the readership too.Bye bye True Love/Flair it was nice knowing you!
*Sigh*
Amazing!!! So “spot on” and current! absolutely love it. And Osaze did
so well few days ago. A new house hold name in NFA.
Ok, this is just a strategy as I perceive. Guess Bola is trying to spread readership. Obviously trying to find her feet amongst the magazines for the men. “Made Man” et al. changing the name to flair, was that supposed to make it sound unisex cos the guys don’t want to be caught reading a true love. I can imagine walking into my bosses office and finding him cross feet with true love in hand. ROFLMAO!!!
Nice try but not a good one for the female fans. Feeling kinda sidelined u know. The spot light seems to be on the guys now. I mean we have not run out of females with a statement as is the case with other females opportuned to grace the covers of previous editions. Haba TL crew! It was a nice idea to make the publication suit any sex but not the best approach to transition at all.
Why are Genevieve and Flair doing the same thing. Who is copying who?
Think about it……..it’s the month of the world cup. That’s why….duh…
not a nice cover pic at all! habba! the pic should have bn something more edgy, sexy.osaze is a fine dude.but this pic they used even looks photo shoped.
uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu, my future husband. If I just meet am, anybody wey dey my side is dumped 4 lyfe, hehehe, lol!
Ujubaby, sorry… he’s my husband!
I like the cover….nice!!
…great job keep it up!!!!! I like it can wait to get a copy

It’s officially the “WORLD CUP” month and the last time i checked, it had June
on the cover which happens to be the month!!!
Can’t you feminist (u know urselves) loan the mag to a masculine cause just for
1 month……live a little joh! kmt
im not a fan of soccer, football myself but it absolutely fine to go down this route
just for 1 month……

@ eazzie, bukky and masassy, you are obviously not TrueLove or now FLAIR fans . If you were then you know tat every June edition is a father’s Day theme and always has a guy on the cover. 2008 was Dare Art Alade and 2007 was john Fashanu. So it only figures that since we are in the season of the World cup we should have a Nigerian player, ladies its called RELEVANCE .But you claim to be true fans and yet judge 2009. Anyway when did genevieve start doing guys AT ALL. We know who is copying.
@ruby..tell the new comers/’bashers’.u are a true fan, just like me!
@ Ruby (Ms Truelove/ Flair fan extraordinaire) its Ms Sassy eyes, and whether it’s football season or not, they should always think of their key buyers. Whether they like it or not, more women than men buy that kind of life style mag. Dare and Fashanu’s Picture were sexy. This one is just …Blah (No offence Osaze). Osaze is cute and all but it’s too ‘footballish’. How about appealing to everyone and tone down the ‘footballness’ a bit. Or are they saying a certain month some of their readers should not buy?
P.S. Ruby, I hope they give you some kind of reward oh. I mean for being such a great ‘Fan’ and all.
@ Kemi….duh!!We know its World cup month!A recent change in their name, should have made them maintain their brand identity…an article or two about the world cup would have been enough.
@ sassy eyes have you bought your copy @ all for one month its not asking too much to lend it to the guys and besides World Cup is once in 4 years haba.Sexy pic no matter the pic osaze looks good any day and this mag is not slezzy so no bear chest. lol any way i like it.
P.S ruby you are a true fan @ sassy eyes na back belle you get.
@ Sexy seal, it’s sleazy not slezzy and bad belle not back belle. @ the rest *Yawn*.
@ sexy seal , one more. It’s bare chest not bear chest.
when Nigeria was playing during the world cup, i was watching his fine ass throughout the whole game. NOW i know his name.
FINE BOY.
he cut his hair, he is even sexier now!!!
