“A Rose In A Concrete Jungle” – Zebra Presents Lagos Dynamo
Posted on Tuesday, July 27th, 2010 at 10:28 AMBy Ijeoma Ndekwu
Nigerian fashion and lifestyle brand, Zebra has earned its place as the go-to label for easy-breezy yet affordable chic infused with African heart and funk.
Lagos Dynamo, the new collection from the Zebra Living, channels the essence of the Zebra Woman – a rose in a concrete world, strong and graceful, darting through Lagos life (and life in general) with style, poise and dynamo.
The clothes in this collection are quintessentially Zebra with a new and slightly daring styling twist!
According to Zebra designer, Ugoma Adegoke – “Lagos Dynamo takes you from day to night and through all the tiers of stylish living with a fluidity and ease you won’t believe“.

Photographer: Toni Tones
Stylist: Bianca Odiete
Make Up Artists: Lola Maja and Jennifer Joe-Alegieuno
The collection will be unveiled this weekend on Sunday August 1st, 2010 at 6pm at The Life House, 33 Sinari Daranijo Street, off Younis Bashorun, off Ajose Adeogun Str. Victoria Island Lagos.

nice !!!! .. definitely wearable ..but some of the clothes look a bit like stuff i’ve seen @ H&M..
Cool designs.Love 4, 12, 14 best!See myself rocking it after a visit to my tailor
I really love some of these designs up here!!
Well crafted…some of the tops with sequins reminds me so much of some spring pieces from H & M
just love them all… fab, fab, fabulous
this is fantabulously FABULLLOUSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
(XCUSE ME ENGLISH)
love the designs…hate the picture background! I can totally see me rocking these numbers stumping on the rugged terrains of Allen Avenue about to hop on an okada
lol why is tall dark model frowning in all her pictures?
what look is that suppose to be?
Love the outfits
Absolutely gorgeous , love every single one. Well done
Yaaay! My cousin is hoooot!!! Pics are fab!
Me love the purple dress and aaaaaaaaaall the jumpsuit!
Why some dresses need ironing?
love love the dresses
I really do not understand why the models look very ANGRY…
i must confess … the clothes are VERY lovely, HOWEVER,the models are just a
NO NO !!!
Eye contact POOR… POSES ARE NOT FLATTERING… THEY LOOK LIKE
THEY ARE TRYING TO HARD TO BECOME AMERICA’S NEXT TOP MODEL.
.. i recommend the girls get more modelling tips…. EYE CONTACT IS VERY
ESSENTIAL..THEY SHOULD STOP FROWNING LIKE THEY HATE
PROMOTING THE PRODUCT .
I spy with my little eye…. a supermodel named OGHOGHO!!!!
chaiiiiii…thats all i can say. Naija is not playing o! Very soon peeps like me will start traelling back home to shop as opposed to the way it used to be (ie people going abroad to shop)…Love the pieces! esp the gold bowed skirt!
nice clothes, #epicfail on the models though… ahn ahn
nice!!!!!!
There.is.nothing.in.this.collection.that.i.do.not.like.well.done.guys.
I love love love the collection……easy, breezy, beautiful….nothing clumsy,or over the tiop
i love the little effort put into every style.
you’ve credited the make-up artists and photographers but forgot to credit the MODELS. Don not forget next time. More important than the others. GO OGHOGHO!!!
It seems like ALL Nigerian designers seem to be doing pretty clothes but no one
wants to do rough, futuristic, raw, street clothing a la Balenciaga, Rad Hourani or Proenza.
This is probably because there is a little market here for such clothing but it would be a fantastic breath of fresh air if such were available here. All these sickly sweet looks are starting to bug me.
Love, love, love it…the collection is elegance at its simplest. I hate when designers
do too much and over design pieces in the name of couture. Love the colour
palette and design elements can either stand alone or be combined with other
clothes. The designer plays well with accessories and any woman of any
shape or size can wear these clothes. Very chic…bellisimo
really nice outfits…..very wearable…….kudos, usually i dont really look at the model”s faces, i just look at the clothes and how they fit so didnt really notice the frowning models
Go Oghogs!
Now these styles I love!!
Love the way she uses colour….
she should teach lanre- ajayi how to use colours esp with that yellow dress
I believe if the material is already bright, the design shld be relatively simple.
Obviously, this is my opinion so pls don’t attack me if u don’t agree :O)
Awww i absolutely adore the yellow shift dress its tres chic!
Lovely
