but…. ok but i dont mean to be mean but….must omotola realy be a musician… i mean her acting is quite satisfactory… i think she needs to just accept that she doesnt have the talent…. auto-tune can go so far… nice outfit at the end sha… even with auto tune her voice is still cracking…*sigh* i really like omotola…

    • yaya August 9, 2010 at 12:14 PM

    • chi August 9, 2010 at 1:01 PM

This is a good video and I must say, a good song as well. I love Omosexy and her determination not to give in. Ride on, we are behind you.

    • Tammy August 9, 2010 at 1:12 PM

The video is good, the song is ok,but vocally, she is not yet there. Good attempt though…

    • busola August 9, 2010 at 1:14 PM

To be honest, I think she should quit music….Not everybody has to sing..right?

    • BayBay August 9, 2010 at 1:19 PM

Nice video , but i think you shud fire ur producer. i listened to this song twice and cant find anything extra to this song . lots of muscicians out there cant sing but yet they have songs that people love and dance to… the projection of ur voice is just not working on this one but its a beautiful video. find a producer that works for u and get ‘Honest’ people to form ur listening party so as to give objective critcism of ur wrk . thats d only way ull get betta… Love ur courage … Keep it up.

    • Nneka August 9, 2010 at 3:58 PM

Oturugbeke…has Omotola gone country or what???? She’s so pretty you just wanna watch it to the end but it’s a little scattered to me and I think the instruments overshadowed her voice a lot.

She’s a fighter though. She’s really never gotten top compliments on her singing ambition but she keeps trying. That counts for something.

    • A.B August 9, 2010 at 4:02 PM

    • BB August 9, 2010 at 4:21 PM

*cringe* d song is just as good as a nollywood movie soundtrack, the best thing about it is Omotola’s beauty, but when will she learn she’s not Beyonce, i mean yes she a great actress but singer no no,bad move girl, how come she didn’t wow us with her singer talent all this while in her movies ie BEYONCE AND RIHANNA. Goodluck selling 10copies of your song. Am missinggggggggggg uu what a joke

    • A.B August 9, 2010 at 4:22 PM

She may not have gotten it that right the first time but from all indications,Omotola has gotten it right this second time!

    • Olofofo August 9, 2010 at 4:25 PM

I LOOOVVVEEEE the song…Especially the last part of the song where she sings in a lower range

Omotola, if you could sing with your chest voice/lower register, preferably ballads, that would be very nice. And if possible avoid the high notes. You can notice the last part of the song was the best, where you sang ina very low range…

      Keep it up!

      • Ujubaby September 14, 2010 at 6:30 PM

        I ell d same way 2!

    • Fehintola August 9, 2010 at 6:33 PM

OmoT…please stick to acting and stop singing. That was painful to sit through..you are lucky i like you sha :)

    • chi August 9, 2010 at 7:07 PM

Omot. We love u just the way u are. U are getting better with time not older. Keep it up sis.

    • Yenih August 9, 2010 at 7:12 PM

OK…mhmmmm…OK… her singing is awful, even the heavy guitar beats and auto-tune could not drown her croaking. Everytime she tried to heat a note, it felt like she was being strangled. I feel like she butchered a good ballad which powerfully voiced artists like Omawumi or Waje could’ve done some justice with. Please, leave singing alone, don’t even attempt lullabies and karaoke for fun. The money used for the beautifully shot video could’ve been used to get some singing lessons maybe, before attempting to bedazzle the world with her “singing talent”.

All that aside,Omotola lights up the screen anytime, she’s a very beautiful and confident woman, that’s a fact. Omotola is one of the best actresses in Africa and I think she can even stand her own with the greats in Hollywood given the chance. So instead of trying to bring multi-talented qualities to the table (which not everyone posseses), she should focus on getting better in her acting craft to be the best of the best in her field.

I love the video.Bobby Boulders did a fab job with it and Omotola looks gorgeous as ever. Flawless.

    • Uzo August 9, 2010 at 8:22 PM

Cringe worthy!!! really is this necessary?

    • requiem August 9, 2010 at 8:23 PM

Okay I have listen to the song and i have made my decision. the video was
not bad (a bit cliche but hey it is a tried and tested theme). the song itself was
let down by her vocal abilities. She is a decent actress but singing
is not her calling. Her album will sell based on her fan base down I will not
hold my breath expecting her to win awards.

    • tbn August 9, 2010 at 9:59 PM

The video is good but her voice was just too weak, she does not have a strong vocals for singing. However I read an interview she granted to sunday thisday newspaper where she said that singing is her passion and thats what she loves doing apart from acting. She went further to say that she respects the opinion of people who dont think she’s a good singer and anyone who does not like it does not have to buy the cd. That she ten times her investment on the album ‘gba’ and that everyone she knows has bought the cd. It seems Omotola is not about to give up on her singing career anytime soon, in spite of negative reviews. I love her fighting spirit and I wish her good luck, but I think i fall under the category of those who would not buy her cd. Let her work on making her vocals stronger in order not to make the instrumentals drown her voice.

    • tbn August 9, 2010 at 10:05 PM

I meant to write “that she made ten times her investment on the album”

    • Lagos Boy August 9, 2010 at 10:40 PM

okay lets be honest about this song.. As a record Exec myself.. I am puzzled by the vocal arrangement of this song and the choice of beat for this arrangement, because a beat is different and not the norm for your type of song doesnt make that a good choice for your vocals…

That being said I still give her an A for effort but please pick better beats that match your tempo next time….

    • Nkechi August 9, 2010 at 10:49 PM

Gosh…who writes these songs for her??? Its terrible! The video is very nice. Unfortunately, the song lyrics, tune, production, music and everything is just not good. Its really terrible. She needs to get a better song writer and a new producer and some REALLY GOOD musicians to make up for the lack of vocal talent. Hopefully she’s not her own song writer.

    • Olivia August 9, 2010 at 11:26 PM

I loved watching this on MUTE! The video is beautiful, will pass on the singing. I’m a big fan of Omo-Sexy, still prefer her in the movies and I really can’t see myself buying the CD. Music is like a religion to me so I can’t compromise even for an artiste I love. Good luck to her though, love her tenacity.

    • THE AMAKA August 9, 2010 at 11:28 PM

she should stick to modeling and acting, PLEASE!

    • fatounettesenegalchic August 9, 2010 at 11:34 PM

you know what I and many others appreciate in the likes of Bill Gates, Ford,
omotola…….. is that they never listen to nay Sayers they just don’t give a damm how
“no you can’t just give it up”. I mean just go trough the comments on this page. Most
of us won’t fight for what we love and believe in and when others do we try to
knock them down but thank God for these strong heads for they remind the rest
of us whatever the mind wants and believe in it can attains. Any way back to the
song i like it and i wish you a lot of success my dear keep doing your things

    • ij August 9, 2010 at 11:39 PM

Na wa oh i didnt think she was dat serious with the singing career, apparently
she is ,i guess she has to plan for her future, with all the competition in the
movie industry , i dont blame her at all jare, get in there before the market
gets saturated with actors and actresses turned musicians
not feeling the song though , but men this babe is foineeeeeee

    • Gam August 10, 2010 at 12:57 AM

      LMAO!!!! BIG JOKE!! ROTFLMAO

    • anyaposh August 10, 2010 at 2:29 AM

the instrumentals over-powered her voice. the song could have used another round of sound editing to produce a more quality sound. Omotola is trying new things, you go girl!

    • vikky August 10, 2010 at 3:01 AM

omg. wats wrong wit all dis nollywud stars thinkx daqt they must sing. de video is so nice bt i wonder y she didnt do it wit ha husband. pls omo, giv dis ting up, actin is urs bt not singin, y’all stop autotunin ur voices

    • Ounje Mi August 10, 2010 at 3:26 AM

Quit Singing! pleaseee & continue to act ….ya hear ?

    • splash August 10, 2010 at 6:20 AM

the video is great but men the singing no dey try…..i love her acting though.

    • gbeborun August 10, 2010 at 1:34 PM

I love Omotola’s spirit but she could put that money into movies or fashion ,there’s many other things to do in show biz,oh well family and friends will buy her cd and that’s good but at some point she’ll have to face the harsh reality that she can’t SING. try doing gigs at a uni and get stoned.

    • Beediva August 10, 2010 at 5:15 PM

ahhh…lol….didnt watch it the other time to the end cos the song was giving me a headache..just watched it to the end and i noticed she’s forming alicia keyes…na wa o…baby, you are beautiful, you are a sexy hardworking woman..pls just stick to acting ok and try to be u….

    • Elle W August 10, 2010 at 5:36 PM

BUt really…does she have to sing ahn ahn

    • wealthyone August 10, 2010 at 11:18 PM

Wow it is well, enough has been said, is her world, we can only encourage her acting, not her singing, as you know she is a die hard achiever , set goal kind of person, time will tell her. we love you. focus on your strength please. the song was not nice at all, the concept for the video is common, , but she is a good actress, so it made it easy to watch.

    • ego August 11, 2010 at 7:02 AM

      This is embarrassing!

    • shanouuu August 11, 2010 at 7:49 AM

she shoud stop deceiving herself like dat!!!ahhh wat a mess!!!anyway
they have money to spend so why not….but omo coud hav look 4 a young
beautiful girl whoz talent is promising something n help her blow

    • Ibo Omoge August 11, 2010 at 10:57 AM

Hmm, I was about to respect myself and waka pass until I saw fatounettesenegalchic’s reply. You must be a very funny chic. Honey, the difference btw Bill Gates and Omotola is that bill Gates has the natural talent and brains to do what he does. That’s why he could afford to leave HARVARD and still become successful. Omotola DOES NOT have the talent to sing. This is not the issue of “improving”. People who improve can actually sing, they just need more practice tune their voices bcos they may be rusty from non-practice. Your vocal chords are built a certain way, if you can’t handle a pitch there is nothing you can do about it. It’s just like athletics. Some people are built to sprint while some are better at long distance races. No amount of determination will make you a winner at sprints if your specialty is long distance. It doesn’t mean you are a failure. You body just can not handle it. I’m not trying to be mean but Omotola should concentrate on perfecting her acting career (she’s not perfect yet!). Okay, if she really wants to sing, maybe she should explore other kinds of singing. R&B and ballads are not for her. She can come up with some sound like Macy Gray and Busta Rhymes did. They are not the best singers but they managed to come up with some good harmony that was unique. To be honest, OmoT is beginning to bore me. Fine girl, sex appeal…yes. I’m now beginning to wonder if that’s all she has going for her. I’m starting to think she’s relying too much on this “Omosexy” thing-y. For how long will that carry her? At some point Naija will stop tolerating mediocrity…I hope, *scratching my head*…all the same, I wish her well.

    • chi August 11, 2010 at 11:37 AM

I love this song. It is a good attempt. Omot, don’t give up on your dream. We love u and we will buy your album.

    • Miss Fizzy August 11, 2010 at 1:15 PM

Lovely video and gorgeous woman, but she can’t sing to save her life. Like other people have said, no be by force to sing oh!!

    • kachi August 11, 2010 at 6:17 PM

……and if you ask, the answer would be : “oooh i’ve been singing all of my life!. In fact since my mother’s womb!…. no beef intended, but really, ur a talented ACTRESS!!!!. Stick to it!

    • Jillian August 11, 2010 at 6:20 PM

Singing is not by force o… This here is cringeworthy.

    • moila August 12, 2010 at 1:41 AM

i been check calender , today no be april first …na august , this song na joke? ….tjis lady cannot sing period even with auto tune , situation pass critical..

    • Bukky August 12, 2010 at 4:58 AM

wow!!!her singing is AWFUL!!!!damn!this was so painful to listen to.Na by force

    • Bukky August 12, 2010 at 5:02 AM

also, is she trying to reach an international market by using oyibo in her video?
The last i checked, her target audience were predominantly BLACK AFRICANS

    • o'neal August 12, 2010 at 9:17 AM

Motola, prove to us that your music career is real just like you did with your movie career. wish uyou the very best.

    • ann August 12, 2010 at 9:51 AM

Omotola i really like the video of this song u looked really great on that white top.But for crying at loud why spend so much money on this when you could have used that money to enchance your vocals.Am sorry but this song is just not working for me,i think you should concentrate more on your acting career.Keep it up but please stick to one thing. This song will not even sell……..

    • fokasibe August 12, 2010 at 12:52 PM

Chai….some people just wait to DERAIL other people and get them to flop so they can actually laugh out loud!!

Omosexy….You can’t sing to save your life. Get over it! It is not werkin. Yes, you are some eye candy but your voice has NO melody!
Forget all those praise singers who are tryna deceive you. YO NO SABI SING PASS MY DOG! END OF!

    • Izzy August 12, 2010 at 8:22 PM

From ”Ije” to this awful tuneless excuse for a song. Girl I love your acting any day any time, I mean com’on you are one of the best actresses we have in Africa. But omotola please pleas quit singing. This is from an honest fan of omosexy.

    • cici August 13, 2010 at 4:37 PM

Omotola, you don’t have to give up singing if it’s your passion. But, what
you can do is to invest in a vocal coach. There are many artists out there
that they will probably sound like you with no vocal lessons but with some
      lessons they are manageable.

    • Beekay August 14, 2010 at 3:00 PM

Warning: This is never a good song to listen to early in d morning, else ur day is messed up. So much 4 wanting to be a musician by force…

    • Rhoda Ebun August 16, 2010 at 9:03 AM

      Horrible song, nice video….altogether 4/10

    • lover August 17, 2010 at 2:21 AM

Fantastic video if only someone else sang the song

    • pweery babie August 17, 2010 at 10:06 AM

okkkkk…nice video indeed. i kinda like the song (without much depth) cos its pop-ish unfortunately a genre nigerians dont appreciate, .it luks so forced.but not a bad start Omotola..atleast ur beauty can stil win u d limelight.

    • Babyzico August 18, 2010 at 6:49 AM

      Hmmm, haa and awww.

    • bookie August 23, 2010 at 6:15 PM

      one word, sham

    • constantz August 26, 2010 at 4:41 AM

i thought this music thing was you know due to the whole top paid actresses strike, so i kinda just looked over it, I love her as an actress though, beautiful lady, ok with that I say no more

    • Ngozi August 27, 2010 at 1:42 PM

BLODDY LIARS!!!! Y’all should stop deceiving this woman! Omo T You can act, hands down ur are good at acting , but singing, Well God gave u acting talents for a reason must you chop all the money?!! Is that not enough?!! Stick to acting and reserve space for some i take God Beg you! Haba!
