Ini Edo-Ehiagwina is not slowing down! With her movie career still thriving and her endorsements including deals with Globacom and Chivita building up, Ini has added another feather to her cap – producer.
Earlier this year, Ini completed filming and production of her production debut “Memories Of My Heart“. The trailer for the movie hit the web some months ago and fans had been eagerly awaiting its official debut.
The movie was co-produced by Emem Isong and stars Ramsey Nouah, Monalisa Chinda, Nse Ikpe Etim, Kofi Adjorlolo and Desmond Elliot.
The synopsis of the movie outlines the plot:
“Memories of the Heart” tells the story of Halle an aspiring actress who had attended several auditions without getting a role. She finally gets her chance when she claims to be Bankole Da Silva’s fiancé, an oil magnate she’s never met. She’s given the role on the condition that Bankole funds the movie. Halle now struggles to get out of the web she has spun for herself. Just as Halle gets Bankole’s attention, Bankole suffers a terrible accident leaving him with amnesia. Dr. Dammie, a female doctor nurses him back to health and into her waiting arms. As the relationship deepens, Halle reappears on the scene throwing Bankole into a state of confusion.
According to Ini, “Memories of my heart is a love story. It’s a feel-good movie to make you fall in love again and I assure you, after watching it, you will“
The official premiere event takes place on the 15th of October 2010 in Ikoyi, Lagos, Nigeria.
BellaNaija.com will be on the scene and will being you all the exclusive photos and details from the event.

Yawn!!!!!!!!!!! It’s too late in the day for old-school Nollywood rubbish. Levels don change o. The Nigerian audience has grown. If you doubt me, ask Kajola.
Go girl, its ur time.
http://getnigeriajobs.blogspot.com
the main character’s name can be anythin afterall Mufasa is not an english name…all dese bad belle sef.
Nse is a good actress, will watch the movie cz of her
Abeg Ini, u too1 Never a fan but must comment. Why are our Nigerian Artist like sheeps(as in dundi’s) when one does, others follow. Not every one who acts can be a producer and vice versa. Must they all be named, actor/actress, producer and singer????? There are really other creative stuffs to do in the industry like threatre, out door movies etc. Pls Ini, dont premier plssss
Can Ini Edo ever dress decently. Must it be always cleavage baring…… Na wah oh.
GBAGAUN!!dont tell me they spelt “CONCEALLED??abeg its not by force…
well…besides the “concealled”, i think i might just like it.
Pls ppl, stop hating. there’s notn wrong with Ini wanting to take her career to d nxt level. At least see the movie first before criticizing.
Hmmm…this has potential…
Bella the title of the movie is “Memories of *the* heart” not *my* . The storyline sounds kinda promising but …..
Thanks. However, it seems the name of the movie has been changed. The poster was released a few months ago and all the follow-up press material have said “Memories of my Heart”. We’ll confirm though.
Pls can MOlalisa let go of all these beads and ruffle and whatever she does to her hair to make her hair..
yes but the transition is not overnite, as 4 me, oh i feel comfortable continuing to ride this train!!! Better days are still ahead!!!
Maybe that is her signature style like stevie wonder, i mean he was a man and nobody complained y should we!!!
Lol @ bkay’s comment, guess its to suit her role in the movie. Cant watch to watch this anyway…
To suit her role in this movie, NOT! The babe does this in almost all of her movies. Ahan, kilode?
Hatin’ already? Abeg lets give the girl a chance! haba! At least she dey try unlike some people I know! (sniff!) The trailer looks promising…. how do I get tickets?
I am sooo looking forward 2 c it, i hope it lives up to all the expectations!!!
I applaud Ini Edo’s attempt to take her career to the next level. Everyone has the right to dream and pursue their dreams. I was hoping she will do something a little different from the Nollywood norm though…I am not convinced by the trailer yet. I am yet to see a Nollywood romantic movie that will trip me like Ego Boyo’s ‘Keeping Faith’ in it’s story line and production, but we shall see….:)
I loved keeping faith!!
It’s something I would watch not because I am particularly thrilled with the trailer buh ‘cos i’m a sucker for Nigerian movies…….I think she coulda used an entirely different cast, maybe 2 or 3 familiar faces but this entire cast just reminds me too much of “reloaded,” I think (The Desmond Elliot movie) and it kinda lost its originality just because of that…Props for effort tho, she’s a good actress dont get me wrong!
Hmmm in as much i try to be positive but methinks i have read the story line be4 for anor movie
I like Monalisa but she and Ini need to lose some weight
Methinks ’tis a brave effort for her to produce a movie by herself…ofcouse with Miz Isong”s guidance. I wish her lots and lots of strength and support. Go Ini, go! lol
Nigerians!!! Y all d hating nauuuwwwww??! What can one do to ever please u guyz? Thise of u waging ur tongues like u can do better if given any chance should just shut up cos u can’t do jack! Here’s a babe tryn to make a mark in her field of endeavor and all u haters r flaring, Y? Have u guys seen d kind of movies in circulation now? They call dem movies, I call dem soft porn!! I bet that’s d kind of movies ( baseless and no story to tell, simply digusting) u haters want instead of som real acting and story. I think all ini needs words of encouragement and no hating besides y all haven’t seen the movie yet so just put d shut to da up!
let’s give her words of encouragement and stop hating
Iniiiii my baby!! I can’t wait to see this! Anything wt Nse and Ini = GBAM!
Trust me,If you are good in front of the cameras, it is not a crime to try your hands behind them. Even if you have a college degree in film production, experience counts. Halle is just a name so anybody can go by it ,just like Mary or Yvonne. Her dressing has nothing to do with her skills. Give her production debut a chance. Clint Eastwood started with one first production. Ini might just surprise you, so give her a chance and a break
Nse, Ramsey and Uche Jombo…chei! I must watch o.
Is it memories of my/the heart? Please clarify.
Movie title has been changed to “Memories of My Heart”
ini just handed the production to the expert emem isong…since when did she become a producer director?? all this time she is spending in nija where is her husnad???
like guys seriously!why hate???how about ya’ll learn to support and criticize wisely. im sure if most of u were given a chance u’d screw yourself over a million times.
ini! you are lucky, talented and gorgeous, and the films of yours which i have seen were the best and i wish also this new ‘memories of my heart is mwaah, may God bless you and shine your talent oo.
