Thanks for all your comments and analysis on the previous BN Pick Your Fave features! With the heated debates, one would think we were trying to decide on our preferred presidential candidate.
Side note, the Nigerian elections are coming up next year, please VOTE with the same fervor!
Zebra Living is one of the most commercially successful fashion labels in Nigeria. They consistently deliver pieces that you will “rock” till you drop!
“The Yinka” is one of those pieces, it is from the Lagos Dynamo collection and comes in a variety of colours and fabrics. This black and white animal print version of the dress is a perfect red carpet piece. It has this effortless yet glamorous feel. So far, we have spotted 3 beautiful ladies on the red carpet in this dress.
Yvonne Ekwere is one of our absolute favourite red carpet starlets because she always “brings” something new with her look. Yvonne’s look at the Hennessy 50 event blends different influences but it all works! Her braided hair brings a contemporary ethnic touch, while her dress, red clutch and red lipstick brings a glam feel and finally the flower accessory adds a playful feminine element to this look.
Femi Ahmed is the ‘face’ of Zebra, as the brand’s muse, she gets to rock pieces from the label and modelled for their last lookbook. At the 2010 SMVAs, Femi wore the “the Yinka” with pride! Totally love the waves of her hair and the red lipstick. Definitely gives the look a dollop of sexy glam!
Face of Sleek, Makida Moka rocked the dress at the Silverbird 30th anniversary event which took place in Lagos some weeks ago. Makida is another one of our fave red carpet stylistas. Her look at this event was definitely elegant. Makida closed the peek-a-boo front detail of the dress and styled her hair up in a side chignon. She accessorized with drop earrings, metallic bracelets and a black clutch to complete her look.

Chick in the middle… love the locks on her hair…
She looks (Femi Ahmed) like a Greek goddess… the braids(Iyonne) with the zebra print does not do it for me and the other girl(Makida) does not have the ‘volumptious-ness’ of Femi Ahmed

Frankly, I don’t think the dress is hot. Its just an ok dress on all three. Nothing special. But, I love the hair on the lady in the middle.
It is alright nothing the onlyreason the middle apparently looks ” CLASSY” is because of the weave simples! If you put that same weave on all three models then you have a level playing field. Most of the commenters are drawn to the hair like we do not see this everyday heck my weave is just like that. It is only a part of it though and not the be all and end all. Not everyone must or likes to wear weave and did it occur to you people have natural hair?
Now based on the pose and who worked the dress yes hands down Femi wins followed by Makida then Yvonne

Certainly not a red carpet dress or look BN what are you saying! this looks like a dress that needs flip flops on a lovelly sunny day! With regards to who wore it best, it has to be the lady in the middle.
Honestly, they all rocked in their own right….or shall we say they alll look ready for different events. Yvonne look ready for an exotic evening with her lovely man on a beach in the carribean or cape town
Femi Ahmed looks like she is ready to hit a friend’s detination wedding and seduce the most eligible bachelor
Makida looks like she ready for a night of glamor at the SAG or Emmy Awards or Tony awards.
All ladies looked lovely. the dress is so beautifully made it’s hard to not look fly in it whether your hair is braided, swept up, down, or sideways

I personally prefer Yvonne’s look more than the others. I think it’s the braids and her whole look. She just jumps out at me. Femi’s look is nice, but too safe for my taste. And I’m so tired of weaves. It seems as if every other Nigerian woman has one or a lace front. Give it a rest.

The last girl on the right most definitely. The dress sits very well on her and her shoulders makes it all so beautiful; plus she carries it effortlessly. Very graceful indeed.
The other two first of all should have gotten their actual sizes, especially around the bust. The girl with the braids should chosen btw the rose and letting her hair hang down. Way too much going on in the upper region. The one in the middle definitely needs more boobs.
