for the reason that MANGO is so big in Naija, of recent, have they ONCE used a black model?
i really don’t recall…or can someone refresh my memory???

      • CC December 7, 2010 at 1:54 PM

Abeg, let them use whomever their primary market will relate to the most. It’s safe to say that Nigeria is not a primary market for the Mango brand

it was good to see a black model in their last ad in Genevieve and FAB magazines. Coming to think of it, they are not quite biased as you will find a mix of races in their ads. Global appeal I presume.

nice clothes but i preferred when mango was just a fruit.

      • shade December 7, 2010 at 9:20 PM

Nice pieces, but why does Mango jewellery fade within a week….. :(

      • mary007 December 7, 2010 at 10:57 PM

They fade within a week because of the heat in Nigeria, to preserve always store in quality tissue in an open tin (preferally biscuits) as it cools it

      i love their collections

    • WaleAdeniji December 8, 2010 at 11:37 AM

They really need to trim down their prices. With =N=18,000 minimum wage that is even yet to be approved, how many Nigerian workers could buy mango dresses except guys in VI, Ikoyi, Abuja and perhaps some others elsewhere who are specially blessed. Nigerians need good and affordable wears, please.

      • aosgrl December 8, 2010 at 7:19 PM

LOL you’re funny. Not everything in the world can be priced for the average worker. Should the average worker also own an Hermes Birkin bag? (not to say that Mango is on the same level.) Cut your coat according to you size. IF you can’t afford Mango, Balogun market is just as fine.

        • me December 10, 2010 at 6:59 PM

yesss o…..loool i agree wit aosgirl…. everybody must not wear the same…i cant afford hermes..but i wont kill myself..i ll just by chanel :P …jokes

    • wicked aosgirl December 9, 2010 at 12:22 AM

You had me laughing uncontrollably am not sure why though cos i cringe when people are as blunt and honest as you have been, yet yours came off more like an advice and that made it worse in a good way.
Its is true wale opportunity cost and coat size are some of the “tins” that determine the choice you make. No need to feel sorry for yourself tommorow is better than today.
I have clothes in my wardrobe today that i never thought a sane person will spend so much buying and i have some i want now but cannot get until hopefully tommmorow sha.

    • mbabazi December 10, 2010 at 9:43 AM

ok maybe they are abit expensive i hear , but you guys atleast get to oogle at the mango stuff and once in a while even buy. i find that the shops here in uganda have all the same stuff from china and its plain boring . i have to thrift shop( which i love) to find all the unique old thing that i like.http://mbabaziannet.blogspot.com
