BN Style is back with our Best Dressed picks for March 2011! March 2011 was an interesting month for style on our scene. ThisDay dominated the style stakes with their events including the ARISE Magazine Fashion Week which took place in Lagos and the ThisDay Awards which also took place in Lagos, Nigeria.
Thanks so much for your feedback from the first edition, based on your feedback, we will be placing the looks in two categories. Daytime Fab and Nighttime Glam – To simplify the process, both will be added to the same poll. The highest rated Daytime look wins for Daytime and the highest rated Nighttime look wins for Nighttime!
Therefore, for January/February 2011, Genevieve Nnaji dressed in St Genevieve at the Enthyst Place Launch with 22% of the total votes came out tops for Daytime and for Nighttime, Omowunmi Akinnifesi at the 2011 Future Awards in a dress by House of Nwocha with 17%.

Totally agree with you. Yemisi was my vote. I think Eku got the most votes cos she’s one of the more popular/ well known ladies. Not that she didn’t look good. just not the best looking on the list.

Hey – people seem to be forgetting the daytime looks. Loving Sasha in her ‘Oleku-style’ iro and buba – has my vote for the top day look. Agree the ‘guest’ in black scores top marks for her nighttime look. Love Eku’s dress but her make-up looks a bit off.

Helen Jennings and Lolade for Daytime and Eku regardless of her make up and the silver bag, the dress is amazing and she has a good figure to carry it well. Also the last lady that looks a lot like Toni Braxton!

i was going through the pictures and was like…”hmm ok this is nice”….”oh nooo this better”….”umm maybe this could be the best”. but when i got to Eku’s pic i was like WHOAAAAA!! Eku is the best dressed. she always looks on point but this is the best i’ve seen her. The dress is like a glass of champagne and she looks like a statuette in it so her make up complements the look really well.

I love the disclaimer “Let’s keep it positive and light”…they know how some of us roll..hehe. IMO, we had better choices last month…it was so hard to pick then, this was pretty much a no-contest. Eku’s makeup wasn’t blended, but her ombre dress was stunning. Her and Sasha’s outfits were the only ones that blew me away.

Ojy’s outfit is STUNNING!!! Looks gorgeous too.
Eku looks elegant in that gown , however, her Clutch doesn’t go with her outfit so i vote for Helen Jennings. Awesome combination, took a big risk with the colors but she pulled it off. I believe fashion is all about mix and match. My other favorite is Temi Dollface Phil-Ebosie. Good job.

Whao weldone BN Crew, for the daytime glam i would say Helen Jennings, she blended the colours well, accessories moderate and the outfit was right for the event. my night time glam will definitely be the last lady. Please try and get her name. She is effortlessly glam, beauty is the word. She looks like someone from hollywood. She bared some flesh though but still suited her. her make up was moderate, her outfit was well accessorised and she carried the outfit properly. I would have voted for Misi Molu, however she didn’t look comfortable in the outfit. I watched the show and she didn’t look confident at all

Apart from my cousin , who shall remain nameless and my friend’s sister , both look AMAZING !!!! The only Fashionista who always gets’ it right whatevert the season is Nadia Buari check out the black slinky outfit which compliments her figure so nicely , which she wore at the Face2FaceAfrica Awards. Maybe she might need to teach some of us a thing or two !
