During his recent trip to the UK, Nigerian Hip Hop musician Ruggedman sat down with Factory78 to discuss his latest album “Untouchable“, his upcoming music video featuring the late rapper Da Grin, working on seminars aimed at inspiring the younger generation and finally laying to rest his infamous recorded telephone conversation with ex-ally 9ice. Ruggedman was his likable self in this tell all no holds barred interview, revealing reasons behind the steps he took to clear his name and the resulting diss tracks made by both camps.

You know….I always liked this dude. Back from ‘Peace or war’/ beef with Kennis Music days, big-time fan. I was a fan of 9ice, and remained so despite this scandal, but he lost me after dumb misguided songs like ‘Appetizer’. Koko is I’m so over this…I get that Rugged needs to defend himself, and 9ice does appear to be a douche, but can we just let it go? Please bury the hatchet, let sleeping dogs lie, let bygones be bygones…whatever, just get back to making great music. ‘Specially 9ice and the wowo music he’s making now…let’s just get back to great music.

Always being a fan of ruggedy baba,easy going down to earth dude, love 9ice too and i’ve got their albums lol so am not going to take side,don’t really want to know about their personal issues they should kiss and make end of.

My personal belief is that something went on before nice got on the scene between Rugged & Toni – Only they know, I think 9ice caught wind of this and flipped. But one thing for sure is that the truth hurts, 9ice is a bigger star than rugged now and rugged should act his age and let sleeping dogs lie.. If a guy dont want to release a press statement , then you cant force him !!

Justin Timberlake did ‘cry me a river’ I don’t think any of his friends ever thought he was referring to them and I don’t think anyone ever demanded a press release from him. Its his prerogative to do press, if he has chosen not to who are you to go to war with him for that. I think he should even sue you for libel for using a personal phone conversation to your advantage without his express permission and come to think of it thats the only hit you’ve had since he featured on your song how many years ago was that? do the maths.
