1st? I hope so
lovely i must go for 1 of these things when i come 2 naija
hmmm
Yeah…1st to comment
NOOOOO….
Nice!
lovelyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
oh tolu onabanjo, please “dash” me ur skirt!
*true love*
are those earrings in the third picture 17k apiece or for the whole collection…kinda baffled here.
Emi from Little Luxuries: 17k For the set (necklace and earrings). The chain and earring components are made from 14k gold-filled i.e. Layer of 14k gold (equivalent to 20% of the total weight of the item) is permanantly bonded on a base metal like copper, brass etc. Thus, doesn’t fade; can be worn by people who would normally react to non precious metal jewelry and is just generally FABULOUS STUFF. HOpe you are less baffled Coco!
only two things stood out to me.
1) what the heck is Makida wearing?
2) i see the candy table and i know its EASTER TIME! but has candy now made its way into the Nigerian diet? and i don’t mean 5 naira tom tom or stuff like that. I’m talking about the hardcore sweets cause i see trouble around the way. most of our parent’s generation didn’t have candy like that, neither did they really have dentists, and many still have good teeth to this day with just normal brushing. but the candy might start leading more children to cavities and childhood obesity. i read some articles on how i believe the average american child under the age of 10 will have at leas three cavities or something like that. i know what im saying might seem irrelevant, but i guess a lot of LIFESTYLES have to change with all the new western things we adopt daily. I know I live in the states, but i see what junk does to kids and its really sad. hope naija won’t follow that path.
and are those cookies just thrown in a tray that is often used to hold pencils and pens? LOL, who on earth would do that?
anyway, the event did look nice! i wanna be in Lag at a time when one of these is happening, so i can have fun too and maybe end up on BN! hahaha.
thanks.
Hi Amaka. Yes candy is now really popular! CamCam has been going strong for 12 months now and whilst we are keeping busy with party packs, candy corners etc for kiddie parties – adults are our biggest customers! We have a huge following in the 25+ yr age group as we specialise in old school British tuck, especially pick and mix. Lagos hasn’t tired of us yet and thankfully there are some great dental clinics in Lagos these days! I guess it’s all about moderation.
true true. thanks for the reply.
another thing… REMEMBER, DIABETES IS REAL! eat all your sweets in moderation, please!
CamCam you are loved and much needed. For those of us whose parents gave birth to us in the UK and sent us to school there, CamCam is light relief and a touch of nostalgia for those hard to shake cravings we get that can’t be satiated by TomTom or Plantain Chips. Thanks I ate the whole pack of white mice on Sunday. Diabetes be damned!
Amaka there was also a health food stand at LPM, the pictures are there for you to see. I think the African diet and lifestyle as a whole is a hazard if you really think about it. Salt, oil, everything is fried and overcooked, meat, meat and more meat. No exercise, driving everywhere, no one walks. Parents and lack of education and exposure are to blame not a sweet stand at LPM.
Many of these merchants still need to work on their displays. Plastic and iron hangars are not great for display.
Adebayo Oke-Lawal, you no show man-cleavage last month? Praises to the most high. Mr. Damilare Oguntade….lol. No.
The lady with the blond Bantu knots was off the hook…love her hair!
You know I’m with you on all your comments! Hahaha, plastic hangers are not it at all and the serious poses get me all the time. Check out the last girl; these people actually think they’re Hollywood bound!
Yes, this is more like it! Showcase the items on sale…and then, the guests et al! Thumbs up Bella!
Tolu Onabanjo, love your look…..simple yet very elegant. Really feeling the accordion bag.
I see Eku trying on a piece from Emi Faloughi’s “Little Luxuries”.
Way to go Emi! I love it when I see a woman turn what used to be just a hobby into something bigger. Go girl!

I desperately want those FELA tshirts, where someone not in 9ja buy them online???
I love these pictures, everyone seems to be having a good time. great stuuff!
As expected like all the March Petite trade shows – tacky presentations. Nothing disgust me more than nice products yet TACKY UGLY PRESENTATION like it was sold on the market floor. Its 2011 get it together and present right for once. Chei. Na wa for you ppl – someone needs to hold a workshop titled “HOW TO PRESENT TO MARKET AND PRESENT YOUR PRODUCT” – its an urgent need for naija.
I love how it seems like people are actually shopping!!!
hey! I’m genny’s #1 fan -_-
NO MEN!!!!!
*shrieeekksssss* i see those dreaded naija baby clothes. -__________- somebody stop it before they get out THERE.
