Inner Circle presents Underground V – 30th April 2011

Today, 30th April 2011, the BN team will be at the Underground.
The Underground is an “Open Mic” night for upcoming artists. There are many undiscovered talented musicians, and the Underground aims to showcase these various talents to a wide ranging audience, music scouts and producers. The Underground features mainly unsigned acts and over time has seen a great mix of energetic and thrilling performances.

History
The Underground started in May 2010 and there have been four editions since inception. The event has grown from an audience of about 80 people in attendance to more than 400 in less than a year. This shows how enthusiastic young people are about music and hearing fresh artistes as signified by their attendance and support.

What’s in it for the winners
The main aim of the Underground is to give these performers a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to showcase their musical talent to a wide ranging audience. We know that many of these upcoming artists are struggling to pay for studio time and also find it difficult to make contact with key producers and labels. So the winners of the Underground are given opportunities to work with recognized and acclaimed producers within various genres. They are also given free studio time to record their tracks and a host of other key prizes.

The Underground V
The Underground is back and takes place on Saturday, 30th of April 2011 at Ember Creek in Ikoyi, Lagos. The host of this edition is TV/Radio personality – Illrymz.
