The lovely and very talented recording artist Asa sits down to talk with Mazino of Smooth 98.1FM in a relaxed, two-part interview. She discusses marriage and her views of finding Mr. Right. She also talks about her music videos, comparisons with Sade Adu, and performing with Seal at this year’s Montreux Jazz Festival. This is Asa as you haven’t seen her before.
She joined Mazino on The Kazbah, Smooth 98.1’s world music show for an hour-long interview, which aired a few weeks ago. The Kazbah airs every Monday-Friday from 1-4pm offering an eclectic feast of music from around the world. The show is themed around cultures, world travel, and an appreciation for world music.

I LOVE ASA. BUT I DID NOT LIKE THE INTERVIEW. THE DIALOGUE WAS NOT SMOOTH. THE INTERVIEWER WAS FORCING IT WITH THE ACCENT AND WAS OVERBEARING. LET US HEAR HER SPEAK.
Chai Nigerians….sometimes una sabi hate. What was so fake about this guy’s style of interview. I thought that he did a wondeful job. You guys should try and elevate than tear down. I thought that he was very fluent and articulate and actually made the interview fun.

What a lousy interviewer. We scarcely heard the voice of the guest! He’s not funny, doesn’t listen. Why is he on radio for crying out loud? How can someone like the sound of their own voice so much??! What a waste of an interview opportunity with the amazing Asa
