Dammy Krane (Real Name: Oyindamola Johnson Emmanuel) was born on the 10th of Dec. 1993. {That makes him 17. #Pause. Wow!} Dammy is currently the youngest known artiste in the Naija music industry. He is set to take this industry by storm, so remember where you read about him first!

Dammy Krane was born to an Oluwakemi Osodi (who was a manager in the fuji music industry at the time). The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree as Dammy began cultivating his knack for musical expression at an early age of six, singing in his church’s children’s choir. Dammy grew up listening to the likes of legendary Fela and Femi Kuti, Lagbaja, King Sunny Ade. He is also influenced by the sounds of modern greats like 2Face, D’Banj and Sauce Kid. Their inspiration is evident in Dammy’s cheeky lyrics.

In his first days in university in 2010, Dammy decided to take his “hobby” a little more serious and surprise the industry with his ability to merge all genres of music. Dammy’s efforts have not gone unnoticed by industry watchers. He has been nominated for Dynamix Awards 2010-Rookie of The Year, Encomium Top-Ten Most Promising Acts and Peak Awards 2011-Next Rated Artiste.

Today, Dammy is a singer, song writer and a hell of a good performer. He is not one of those singers who stand still while the backing track plays louder than his mic. If you were at the NYSC concert this summer, Dammy is the artiste who jumped into the crowd to give a woman a lap dance. Well, they don’t call him ‘Dammy Krane For The Girls’ for nothing!

Check out his tracks here and his special message for BellaNaija readers and future fans!
