Telecommunications giant, Globacom, has launched a new dynamic tariff plan that offers unprecedented discounts to subscribers anytime, anywhere across the country. Tagged Glo Flexi, the new tariff plan offers up to 99% discount on calls made, depending on the time of day and geographical location of the subscriber.

Speaking at a media briefing to unveil the new package in Lagos, Globacom’s Group COO, Mohamed Jameel said the new Glo Flexi plan is a fantastic package that offers the biggest discounts ever offered by any telecommunication network in the country as subscribers can talk for as low as 1k/sec.

“The new Glo Flexi is available to all prepaid subscribers across Nigeria and it offers the biggest discount ever offered by any telecom operator in the country. With up to 99% discounts offered to subscribers on calls, there is no doubt that Glo Flexi is the next big thing since we pioneered the Per Second Billing (PSB) platform so many years ago”, he said.

He said that the introduction of Glo Flexi is in line with Globacom’s value driven approach to introducing new products and services which enable the company to give back to its subscribers. Such initiatives include the introduction of special tariffs such as the Glo 1derful, Glo Infinito and Glo Talk More tariffs which still remain tremendously popular amongst subscribers.

Also speaking at the occasion, Globacom’s GM, Prepaid Marketing, Ashutosh Tiwary stated that Glo Flexi is a dynamic package that is dependent on the density of traffic on the network at any point in time. The system looks at the network usage behaviour and gives generous discounts making it possible for subscribers to enjoy discounts ranging from 0% to 99% depending on the time of day and their geographical location. In other words, subscribers are guaranteed the best network quality in Nigeria on the Glo network as the massive discount offers ensure proper utilization of network resources.

“To enjoy the discounts, subscribers are required to enable the cell broadcast feature on their phones so as to be able to receive information on what discounts are available at their current location at anytime. After activating cell broadcast on their handsets, they should just dial USSD code *135*1# to register. After registration they can then be able to make calls to loved ones and business associates on the Glo network at those discount rates displayed on their phone at the time of making the call”, he said.

Subscribers are free to register or unregister from the plan at any time as this is free and unlimited during the promo period.
