Posted on Monday, October 3rd, 2011 at 1:52 PMBy Ijeoma Ndekwu
Fashion brand Moofa presents a youthful mix of casual day wear and elegant pieces for its Spring/Summer 2012 “Tribal Grandeur” collection. Dispensing last spring’s pervasive color blocking for prints, the collection features sequined fabric and printed jerseys, which are perfect for a classy form-fitting silhouette whether they are dresses, jumpsuits or pants. The designer, Yinka Fashola believes that this collection creates an aura of pristine elegance with its gorgeously constructed pieces. The brand retained the perfect classic cuts which it is known for while redefining a sensual vibe.

dont know why we cant make out our own fashion periods. which one is spring sumer? seasons that dont exists in nigeria…smh why cant we do us?
Don’t really like it tbh! But each to their own
Lovely!
Love the collection. Love the models. Good job to the whole team that put it together. Keep at it! Keep striving…
Nice… The concept is lovely. I love the blue dress…

Beautiful designs with ankara.
I guess naijas dont have any other imagination of creativity apart from fashion. What else is new
and you what have you done?
may dear you don’t have to comment if u haven’t done anything better………. what do u do for a living. Am just curious. Learn to appreciate peoples effort and stop complaining.
Ankara print in jersey!!! … Way to go MOOFA!
i like better
well the only thing i liked was the cut off and the pants except do we put any lotion on the models feet legs arms face b4 photo? omg plse already im tired of seeing us not well put together…look at her in the light b4 the pic taken
very nice collection. would luv to purchase one for ma girlfriend.
@ bobo brown you can buy moofa pieces in mega plaza, designer outlet 4th floor.
OR flat 1, block 42 kosofe street dolphin estate ikoyi.
What’s with the gas tank behind the 2nd model – Is that suppose to be a prop ?
I guess this designer thing is going a bit too far. Not everyone should be in this business oh! Bella, don’t delete. I’m the least fashionable person I know. I wear the same “cheap” stuff for years in a row….but at least they make no claims.
Some of these ideas/concept are not innovative. My tailor can sew better:-); not entirely sure though, but I could get them in a regular store.
Abeg oh.
POOR you…. u are hating while MOOFA is growing and making money.
Thanks for your time though.
this is not summery at all, poor effort.
this kind bad belle people hum mm na wa oh….
love them…Moofa thumbs up….Can’t wait to see the dresses you are making for me…. : )
They are awesome n wearable..
this dresses looj ggod in d fotos.. but i doubt if they’ll actually look this good in reality especially the 10th dress..
d clothes r very chic colourful….luvs it!!!
the models are eww. Too skinny to appeal to me (and I am a size 8). Put up some girls with curves and nice makeup and you will sell even if your clothes are average.
Bleh! Another tailor sewing with ankara abi infusing ankara calling themselves designers! Bella no go delete my comment oh..freedom of speech here biko! We must not all love it!
And my tailor in Burnt Oak can sew better!
we shuld learn to appr8 pple’s efforts esp wen it comes to creativity cos its nt easy to put togeda ideas nd create sth out of it. Kudos to d designer, I really lik some of d cloths! Kip it up
Nice work from moofa! Her pieces are effortlessly chic! She is already making mine!
Nice… Really Love some pieces!
JERSEY ANKARA print fabrics???OMgoshh your joking!!…fantastic!…This is quite innovative. From reinventing the way denim is worn “casually”, to red carpet ready looks, and now taking the ankara fabrics to a different lengths in terms of silhouette definitions….hmmm…truly impressed. The last two outfits are hott!..I think the model can even feel that.lol…However,my favourite outfit is the ankara and gold sequence dress with straps on the chest!!simple, yet sexy. Please keep the tempo up oooh!!
I looove the long-sleeved jumpsuit. Lovely symmetry.
Welldone Moofa!!!!nice collection…i can imagine myself in dress 7 and d blue dress alreedi!!
Don’t really like it
Everybody and their grandmother has a clothing line.
wow, fabulous!i see mysekf wearing all d style, esp the long ones
mark please dont criticize, just encourage them and you will see come up well next time.
nice.
It’s a pity the banks aren’t hiring anymore…that’s the cause of this whole designer boom! This whole Ankara -attachment business is tired, time for some real talent to come through. Bella please post my comment.
Never comment on BN but I love this collection. Have to encourage our up coming designers. Way to go…can actually rock all the piece. Thumbs up!
Nice and unpretentious.
Nothing spectacular. I have seen ALL these styles before…What is exactly MOOFA’s USP – unique sell point? I sure cannot see it here. Back to the business drawing board please.
1st moofa isnt up coming, she has designed for alot of celebrities. Her portfolio is packed full and she has done tonnes of fashion shows. And cynthia, this is just a collection, am sure you cant point out any designers USP from their collections. If you were a designer, you would know how that works. Cheers!!
good job
well done
Well done those are nyce and am dreaming of putting them on.haters go get alife
Mediocre, seen it all before. stylist did a good job with what she had to work with tho. Hope my comment makes u want to study your craft and do ur research and then come back HARD!
Amazing and really creative stuff!!!

GORGEOUS AWESOME AND BEAUTIFUL. KEEP UP THE GOOD JOB!
shes gunna give alot of them top brands a run for their money…shes got huge prospects… love her pieces
Gosh… some people can be mean! Reasing the comment thread has me wondering if maybe i should just keep my designs hidden (not clothing o, b4 u guys turn on me)…
She is good! i must say. showed my jewellery with her clothes at fashion lounge last night & decided to google her. I am not a fan of ankara but if it can occur to someone to put ankara prints on jersey fabrics, that, my friends is INNOVATION! The clothing look as fab in real life as they do in pics & the fabrics feel wonderful on the skin… I’m definitely ordering the jumpsuit & scooped back maxi dress. Yinka if u get to read this, keep it up. Remember, not everyone has to like ur soup but that shouldn’t stop u from cooking…
Going thru dese comments just made my day. 9ja nawa oo. Well 4 me its big ups to the lady that took her time to create all these, gud or bad! I agree wiv sanlove, these pieces are actually boring and very dull in real life. I saw them wiv my own eyes at the fashion louge and ppl kept on looking at themselves lik WHAT ARE DESE??? Photography and editing actually go a long way cuz I can’t believe these r d cloths I saw.. My advice to Moofa is… Pls pick brighter colours when ure dealing wiv dark ppl. These fabrics are nt bad but they will look beta on white chics. The mdels looked completely dirty in the cloths. I don’t av any issue wiv the designs I just feel u need brighter colours to bring them out.
