We are already loving this edition of BN Pick Your Fave, we are keeping it grown and sexy today with the Lily wrap dress by Tiffany Amber.
This dress is ultra luxe and simply lush! It is from the “Fearless Luxury” collection which Tiffany Amber presented at the ARISE Magazine Fashion Week in Lagos earlier this year.
So let’s get to it!
Nigerian fashion maven, Omoyemi Akerele gave this dress it’s red carpet debut at the 2011 ThisDay Awards in Lagos, Nigeria. Omoyemi chose the fiery red version of the dress which she paired with bold red lippie and highly coveted Louboutin Maralena heels.
Busola Adeogun was spotted at Karen Koshoni’s birthday party a few months ago in the orange version of the dress. Busola accessorized with a long pearl necklace and completed her look with beige pumps.
Just a few days ago at the TW Phoenix Gala, Tara Fela-Durotoye debuted the “colour block” version of the dress. She looked stunning in the yellow and purple dress! Did you notice that she did something a little bit different from the other ladies? She tied the wrap dress in front rather than at the back. Tara accessorized with simple black heels and diamond jewellery.
We are not picking OUR fave but we do love the colour effect of coral and emerald that Ifeoma Williams created when she rocked this dress at the FELA! in Lagos event. Ifeoma accessorized her dress with a jewel toned bag, earrings and bracelet. The final touch was her beige sandals.

it’s TARA DUROTOYE……TOO MUCH! spotted it right before i could even look properly..and on looking properly..it’s still TARAAAAAA. The other ladies look good, TARA just killed it most.

Btw, you guys should consider having an actual poll for these type of things….
At first I was going with Tara cos the color block worked well on her skin tone. I like that she went for the wrap tie in front. And even though I think it’s best worn without a neck piece (Busola what were you thinking?) the choker-style necklace didn’t interfere with the top’s aesthetic, which was clearly meant to highlight the droop in the middle. However, I think she went safe with the shoes. Even a more “popping black” would’ve worked. Hers look more like a brown. Ifeoma’s entire look worked perfectly down to the nude (they look nude to me) heels, which was a better subdued finish to an already bold orange and green pairing. I love both though. How much does this retail for?
Oh, and I think it’s not coincidence that the two best women (Tara and Ifeoma) have their hair cropped or in a bun, away from their neck. This dress is meant to show off the neckline so it didn’t look as dramatic with the first two ladies who covered it up with their hair.

I Pick Tara just because she totally stepped away frm her usual worrying looks n smashed it, d colours on her just WERKS!!! Ifeoma takes second ( but best color coord.), maybe if she smiled like Tara she might have won…

you guyz r blind!!! yes tara is beautiful in the dress but did her accessories, hair et all compliment the dress? NO! my fave is definately Omoyemi i mean look at that flat tummy the way the wrap sits on her abs and red, who goes wrong with red. ifeoma always on point but its time u go for more romantic curls this pull back tight bun is too serious.
