BN Exclusive: Vlisco launches ‘Delicate Shades’ with Innovative Ad Campaign collaboration with fashion illustrator Sabine Pieper

Just when we thought Vlisco had done it all with their stunning ad campaigns, they have just blown us away with this brand new one.
‘Delicate Shades‘, the new collection by Vlisco will officially launch tomorrow but as always, BellaNaija.com has the exclusive scoop.
Vlisco collaborated with renowned fashion illustrator, Sabine Pieper.
This is Sabine’s first big project since the birth of her daughter and she definitely did a fabulous job! Sabine tells us her inspiration for the ‘Delicate Shades’ illustration.

“Actually, I was inspired by the Vlisco fabrics themselves, with all their wonderful colours and different patterns. I tried to create images to ‘fit’ the shapes of the dresses and match the particular fabrics. For example, I repeated the dress forms, the outlines or the shapes within the patterns themselves, the black lines, and the coloured stripes that are repeated in the fabrics of Delicate Shades.“

Vlisco introduces its new ‘Delicate Shades’ collection, in which technique plays a more important role than ever before. About ‘Delicate Shades’ by Vlisco

Distinctive Technique
The inspiration for the collection was drawn from the perfect imperfection that underlines Vlisco’s craftsmanship. The unique printing technique was taken to the next level for the collection, turning inspiration into reality. The result is two different designs on one fabric created from a single pattern design. Since the front and back are different, a double layer with a transparent effect is created. The possibilities to create a stunning outfit are virtually endless.

Illustrating Colours & Designs
Striking shades of blue and intense earth tones are illuminated by distinct accents of yellow and pink. The colourful graphic designs produce a three-dimensional effect, resulting in a visual spectacle.

Fashion & Accessories
The fashion and accessories collection was inspired by the optical illusion created by the distinctive front and back of the fabric. The outfits and bags accentuate this effect, fresh in their design and strong in their simplicity. The fashion and accessories are only available in Vlisco Boutiques and on the website.

Luxury Editions
The Luxury Editions are a combination of fabrics embellished with exclusive details and are a further translation of the Delicate Shades designs. Sophisticated embroidery, shimmering sequins and sparkling Swarovski crystals give the fabric a luxurious and feminine twist. Adding Luxury Editions to an outfit creates a completely new look. The Luxury Editions are available in Vlisco Boutiques, on the website, and in specially selected stores in Africa.

Communication Campaign
The communication campaign is inspired by the unique Vlisco drawing technique. The campaign therefore features artwork. Fashion illustrator Sabine Pieper, whose handwriting matches the brand values of Vlisco, has reinterpreted the ‘Vlisco woman’ for this campaign. Combined with the fabrics, the campaign images are the ultimate interpretation of Delicate Shades.
