This week, the contestants were asked to perform “International Pop and Rock Hits”. The host set the tone with his pop-rock style! Darey was dressed in a red tee paired with a leather jacket.

We said “bye bye” to Oluwakemi this week. The Abuja-based crooner was unfortunately voted off the competition this week.

Tee Songz
Song: Daniel Bedingfield – If You’re Not The One
Tee Songz performed Daniel Bedingfield’s “If You’re Not The One”. While he was charming and confident, the performance was just ok. The high notes at the end of the song definitely let him down.  Tee Songz is still one of our faves and we are looking forward to what he does next.

Vicky
Song: Shania Twain – Still The One
Judges’ fave Vicky “dazzled” the audience in a gold sequined dress while she belted out Shania Twain’s hit single “Still The One”, it was definitely one of the top performances of the night.

AmOK
Song: Tina Turner – What’s Love Got to Do With It
AmOK came on stage looking like a disco ball (in a good way!) in a Silver sparkly dress as she performed Tina Turner’s “What’s Love Got To do with It”. There is just something about this lady that we love! We are rooting for you girl!

Oni
Song: Christina Aguilera – Infatuation
Favourite performance alert! Oni really knocked it out of the park this Sunday as she delivered a very polished version of Christina Aguilera’s “Infatuation”. She definiely got the audience hot and bothered! One audience member remarked, “I feel like making love to you tonight” after watching to her performance…..okay – no comment!

Precious
Song: Daughtry – Home
Before his performance, Precious had a chat with backstage host Denrele and shared that he is a fan of rock music. So he didn’t have to look far off for his inspiration for his performance. Precious performed Daughtry’s most successful single “Home”. His performance was alright but once again, we believe he can do much better.

Mattade
Song: Phil Collins/Mariah Carey/West Life – Take A Look at Me Now
Mattade celebrated birthday this past week and the birthday boy really gave us some of his birthday love by performing “Take A Look At Me Now”. It was a strong and emotional performance that had most of the audience in awe.

Christian
Song: Lighthouse Family – Ocean Drive
Christian who has been named by the judges as one of the top vocalists, really didn’t give the audience exactly what they expected from him. His rendition of “Ocean Drive” was ok but we expect so much more from him.

Lynn
Song: Cher – Believe
Lynn really made us “believe”, she was on point this week, she made very good use of the stage, something that she failed to do in her last performance.

Judge’ Comments
Mandy Brown
Mandy loved Vicki and Oni. Advised Tee Songz to work on his high notes while Precious was proded to raise the bar. Mandy advised Mattade to step up his energy levels.

Onyeka Onwenu
Legendary Onyeka loved Vicki and Oni.Christian and Mattade really need to step up their game.

Olisa Adibua
Olisa seemed to like Vicki, Oni & Precious as he marked them good while those who were not so lucky were Tee Songz who he said is terrible and  AmOK & Christian who aren’t bringing it on fell under his bad mark, Mattade and Lynn got an ok nod.
