BN Wedding Glam: The Funke Fowler & Abi Kuku Traditional Engagement

The traditional engagement ceremony of Funke Fowler and Abi Kuku was a fabulous event! With over 3,000 guests, it was so difficult for us to pick photos for our BN Wedding Glam feature.
Even though there were so many fabulous golden oldies in their luxe iro ati buba accessorized with standout jewels, we decided to focus on the young crowd and basically let things flow from there.
The colours of the day were red for the groom’s family/guests and pink for the bride’s family/guests. The melange of these two bold hues created a sensational mix!

Looooved a lot of d jewelry on display n I want some of those shoes, d clothes r same ol’…..but girls gotta be careful wit this half wrapper length o, sooo not for everyone biko…. wondering bout dat combo of pink n red..umm..o well maybe cos i generally dont care bout pink, but still…! n b4 i sign out- dat mama in d boubou had d best swag, head-to-toe!
this is glam/red carpet post so Bella, pls do not delete my comment o. so here is my take…because this is a big and much publicized wedding, a lot of momentum built up and everyone waiting for this event… i think everyone of their guests were trying to out-do themselves, or out-do the the next person. this led to tooooooooo many coloros. Funke is known to be modest, yet classy. She is not a lousy dresser. The reds, fuschia pinks, sequins galore to me is too much. y’all need to learn from the bride that less is more. thanks ladies. thats it for ttoday:)

Number one, Sade Okoya never disappoints. Number two, it is obvious that there are better tailors in Naija than outside of it. Tailors state side are for the most part short on talent, creativity, and good work.
