A few months ago, it was Eku Edewor vs Susan Peters on Pick Your Fave as they both wore the “watercolour” version of the Zara Tulip Dress.
This time, it is Tonto Dikeh and Jennifer Williams of Basketball Wives fame. Tonto wore the dress when she attended the New York premiere of “Damage” while Jennifer said “yes to the dress” for the press preview of her new lipgloss line – Lucid.

Lol~ I can’t help but just love this girl. She dances to the beat of her own drum. I love it! She needs to be more refined for sure. Apart from that, I love that her personality is different. Whether she is a great actress or not, I think she stands out from a lot of Nigerian female celebrities. Most of the females want to be likeable and end up being too sweet with no damn character. Tonto is being true to herself and living her dreams.

I would be so emotionally drained if I were interviewing her. I just don’t think I would be able to find the right emotions to react to a lot of what she says. As horrible as the interview is, I actually think she wears the dress better.

Step 1: decide on the accent American or British
Step 2: invest in speech and articulation classes of decided accednt
Step 3: classes should be prefereably held in home country of decided accent
Step 4: yearly update of speech classes and you are good to go

I think the dress can either look childish or chic depending on the styling. Jennifer’s pink shoes makes it look too childish for me. She is almost forty! I prefer Tonto’s color coordination I just wish her shoes were peep toe ( instead of open toe)/ nicely shaped pumps.

Much as it pains me to say this, Tonto wore it better. Her whole demeanor just flows with the dress.
As for her diction…I tire! When will the bulk of Nigerian actresses start taking their craft seriously by getting voice/diction coaches? I am amazed at the fact that Tonto doesn’t even seem embarrassed herself. Does that mean she doesn’t know any better?

Tonto is a very interesting character, I don’t support everything she said but I do love her honesty. I’m not too bothered about her accent, I actually quite like it (a lot), is that weird?
