At the 2011 MTN Lagos Fashion and Design Week, Maureen Ikem Sunny Rose unveiled its first ever ready to wear collection.

When we featured photos from the collection, the response was nothing short of phenomenal.
This is the lookbook for the collection and we are still loving it.

For years, Maureen Ikem Okogwu-Ikokwu developed her craft as an accessories designer and now her brand has grown to include Ready-to-Wear clothing.

Check on it.

Ps I dnt get dis…no creativity…seen dem all before so not interested…haba wt is dis

    • Joy January 30, 2012 at 5:10 PM

these are nice designs, but i don’t think i would buy them, for a designer to use ankara fabrics that are worth buying in an actual store, the designer must do something unusual like jewel by lisa does, i would tell my tailors to make this for me at a cheaper price, but i cannot buy them, nice designs though

    • Babe January 30, 2012 at 5:17 PM

Love the designs…Well done Beth Models

    • Joy January 30, 2012 at 8:02 PM

bella naija, i think it is time that you educate some of your readers about weight! There are actually some people that eat a lot and are still skinny! it really isn’t fair what some people say sometimes, they are human beings too, how would you feel if someone was insulting you because you are curvy! I’m not even skinny but i have some skinny friends, and there is nothing wrong with being skinny, but there is something wrong with being anorexic !

    • Stacie January 30, 2012 at 9:34 PM

I hate the first one, who would actually wear that. Some of them r nice but others just look good on the models with all the lights. Not really axcited about the collection.

    • tee January 30, 2012 at 10:19 PM

not a fan of the designs but the fabrics are beautiful!

    • bukioni January 30, 2012 at 10:49 PM

Lots of lovely pieces and she chose some really eye catching prints. The right fabric makes all the difference and can really elevate a simple design above basic. And thumbs up on the tailoring too, the garments are well constructed.

I LOVE! Eclectic, exciting and a stab at originality and yes the prints definitely take the designs to another level! Star pieces? The wrap dress, the dip-dye dress and oooh the fishtail dress with matching shrug. Well done Maureen-we’re fans!

to all ya haters of this beautiful designs……. Art is an expression, you don’t have to like it.

    • RJ February 1, 2012 at 5:51 PM

Was getting ready to say how crap these designs were but then they started to get better, almost like there were two designers. The first half looks like any tailor could have sewn them but the second half is very exquisite. smh!

    • TOS February 2, 2012 at 7:28 AM
