Hadiza Rasheed & Atiku Jada Wed – A Wonderful Wedding Story!
Posted on Thursday, February 2nd, 2012 at 11:39 AMBy BellaNaija.com
Our culture is so amazing and the best illustration of this is weddings!
Molecular Cell Biologist Hadiza Rasheed and Human Resource Consultant Atiku Jada celebrated their love, families and culture as they wed.
The couple met at a friend’s wedding and then got in touch with each other 3 months later. From then on, everything flowed seamlessly!
Hadiza and Atiku’s wedding was a spectacular multi-city event – From their family homes in Katsina and Yola and then the finale at the ThisDay Dome in Abuja. The beautiful bride looked stunning all through each and every ceremony.
We absolutely love Hadiza and Atiku’s BN wedding feature and wish them all the best in life and love!

The Bride had so many wardrobe changes…It is a beautiful wedding.
As in…4 different events! When you’re big, you are BIG!
nahh its not a status thing. I think its northern thing. weddings in the north typically last a couple of days as long as a week sef with different events for each day. I served in Kaduna and stayed at a friend’s place while i was there. Their neighbor (my friend’s childhood friend actually) got married and it went on for about five days .. and this was a middle class family o . So i guess its just a northern thing including the heavy saudi gold, the mehndi, kayan aure and of course the brides’s bedroom and parlour set bought by her parents (some parents actually start saving really early for it). I don’t know if its tradition but a very good number of northerners do this regardless of their social status
Yaaaaaaaaaay I am firstt!!!
The wedding looks so well put together and the couple look really good together. May the almighty God bless their union and keep them forever, Amen xxxxx

please can someone tell me where to get the type of laces the bride wore. thank you.
yes o i concur!!! where can we buy these laces? thank you in advance for the info. BN, u can intervene if possible lol.
Most of these laces are imported and highly expensive.
Beautiful wedding and something different from the usual weddings in Nigeria. So I’ve noticed that people from the north do Cultural Night. Is that the same as traditional wedding?
Choi!!! These northerners and their legendary beauty sha!!!! Simple and classic beauty!
We are a beautiful people. Go Nigerians!!!! I absolutely love my country. These pictures bring back memories of my time in Kano, Zaria and Kaduna. Even as an Igbo girl in the north, I met nothing but love. Boko Haram, leave Nigeria alone! We are such a beautiful country, full of beautiful people (inside and out) and with so much potential. Thank you BN for sharing these pics of a lovely couple. I wish them and Nigeria, nothing but blessings and peace!
I love your comment. It speaks volume.
We need more Nigerians like you. Instead of the tribalistic fools that grace the internet pages

They all are so pretty! even the guys!
I wont be surprised if the bride has some Yoruba in her. The traditional dressing style with the ipele and the gele gives it away.
With every outfit change i kept saying “WOW”! She’s gorgeous! And i was proud of the modesty! Breath-taking! God bless their union.
Thank you @sunshine! No brazilian, peruvian or whatever else they call it in sight! No short,super-tight,and highly inappropriate dresses! No fake Chanel,Gucci or LV bags.No garish Gaga-induced make-up…how refreshing!I’m so tired of that identikit dressing everyone is running around with. This wedding was classy and celebrated Northern culture at its finest. I wish this couple all the best in their marriage…
Molecular Cell Biologist??ok…thats my kind of brain right there

Hmmm i smell money, and a lot of it. Beautiful couple and wonderful bridal outfits, i just love it.
Nice wedding. I don’t often see northern muslim weddings so I appreciate the novelty of it all. I also find it interesting how the couple incorporated historically Christian/Victorian tradition into their weddings with the white wedding dress, bouquet, and cake.
wow, this is the best, lovely outfit, beautiful, God bless them
