To get all relevant information on this upcoming reality show to the Nigerian public, the organizers set up a press conference on Thursday 5th April 2012 at Rodizzo Restaurant & Bar, Ikeja,G.R.A, Lagos. The day started with a formal introduction about the show by Leke Adenuga. He said “WBIN is the first Nigerian Wedding Reality and hopes to position Nigeria on the world map when it comes to reality and entertainment. Beginning with the put your face on it campaign is to drive all intending brides with a unique quest for class especially when it concerns that once in a lifetime moment. They are advised to do all to attempt because they stand the chance to enjoy 12 all expense paid but top quality weddings from the stable of our celebrity wedding experts. Doors have also been opened some married ones who would also like to renew their vows.”
Shedding more light, he said the show would have three stages – Entry stage, Production and Airing and further told attendees that Which Bride is Next? is more than just a reality show that it also will have a discount platform and directory.
Speaking also at the conference was Pheel – the composer and singer of the WBIN theme song titled “Forever”. He spoke passionately on how he views weddings as a solemn vow and one that requires the highest level of commitment of love that should last forever which was what inspired him to deliver such a song.
The event which was hosted by Peacemaker saw the unveiling of the WBIN TV Commercials, Endorsement jingles by some of the partnering celebrity wedding experts produced by Truejoy and the presenter Misi Molu – a former presenter at Beat FM and co-host of season 1 of the Nigerian Idol competition.
The press conference that had in attendance Ade Plumptre and representatives from Newton and David, QF, Omega Events and the WBIN partners – LAGBUS, City People, Ovation International, TW and Truejoy Productions, was truly an astounding success.
