There are three major things that have us super excited about “HoodRush“…one is that it’s something new and unique – a musical thriller featuring original music created just for the movie! Two, one of our favorite Nigerian movie stars Bimbo Akintola is back with a bang with a leading role in “HoodRush”; finally some of our brightest young stars including OC Ukeje and Chelsea Eze are also part of the cast.
Hoodrush is a production of Flipsyde Studios and here is what the writer and director of the movie, Dimeji Ajibola told BN, “Bimbo’s performance in this movie is something people should watch out for. She gave the kind of performance that only a Bimbo Akintola can give“
The Synopsis
HOODRUSH is a musical thriller detailing the travails of two brothers closely bonded by their love for music; but deeply separated by their means for success. Shez and Tavier are two of a kind pursuing a Herculean dream of becoming music stars. But all they have is their amazing vocal talents, good looks, a crib in the ghetto and a menial job that could hardly pay for their clothing and feeding expenses.
They soon realize they need more to achieve their dreams, and participating and hoping to win a credible talent hunt show comes as their only natural option. Being at the bottom of the societal grid, ghetto life’s ugly fabric begins to wear on them and their eventual vulnerability puts them at the mercy of the high and mighty.

Am definitely waiting for this one. Havent seen Bimbo Akintola in a movie in ages, I want me some OC Ukeje and I hope Gabriel wont cry in this movie.
@mainstream & desire your comments shows that you’ve not seen so many movies of Gabriel because i see him act more of bad guy roles.
