It was definitely a Shopper’s Delight! On Sunday 26th August 2012, the city of Lagos witnessed another fantastic edition of the monthly shopping extravaganza that you and I can’t get enough of – Le Petit Marché, at the GET Arena, Oniru, Lekki, Lagos.
Once again, the creative team behind the shopping event – Isoken Ogiemwonyi and Wonuola Odunsi, pulled all necessary stops to deliver another sensational and highly successful shopping gathering where all attendees got the first class opportunity to shop for clothes, shoes, bags, jewelry, beauty products, sweets and home ware from numerous vendors stocked with items from Nigeria and beyond.
Fun – Tick, Exciting – Double Tick, A Shopper’s Delight – Triple Tick! The August edition of LPM, was a sight to behold. If you missed the event, don’t sweat it, BN has got your back with all the photos. For more info on how to book stands at the upcoming September edition, simply send an e-mail to info@lpmnigeria.com | lpmnigeria@gmail.com.
BN presents LPM Vendor Spotlight – SCUUP

About your brand
SCUUP stands for Sassy Classy, Urbane, Unique and Preppy. Our customers exude these adjectives that make up our brand personality.
How long have you been in business?
SCUUP was founded in October 2010, however I have always had a love for fashion and beauty particularly in the area of retail and have always sold something for as long as I remember.
The SCUUP brand is known for its delectable blazers, are there any plans to cross over into other clothing items?
We have plans in the near future to expand into shirts. We are looking at fabrics such as chiffon and silks and definitely dresses.
Where do you see your brand in the next 5 years?
We would definitely be a household name in Nigeria, with outlets all over the country by the Grace of God.
Any word to emerging brands?
Think Hard, Work Smart and most of all Have Fun

This was great!
Dear SCUUP, please stop spamming my phone with texts. You got my number without my permission, and now you invade my privacy with your unsolicited texts. I am not interested in your cheap tacky looking brand!
chill out !
Its probably one of those mass-text services that extracts numbers and ‘spams’ them with ad texts. I’m sure she doesn’t know who you are.
Chill out. We all get those texts.

I think LPM needs to go back to the drawing board cause it feels like they have missed their mark and if not adjusted the LPM may turn into something else.
The essence of a monthly sales gathering like this is for clients to have an ides of what each vendor sells or the service they render. So each vendor needs to display their best few eccentric items/services and keep the rest in a box/store till customers want to buy them. The displays are looking like Balogun Market .Vendors are sticking/hanging chains, clothes & Jewelry to table cloths,Chairs,…anything. The Display is awful .There are so many things on the tables i cant see anything. Finally for professional services i think LPM needs to have something in unison to show that there are professionals organising such an event e.g Uniform display tables/rack,uniform Table spreads etc.
Correct me if i am wrong but its like their market is just for the Young Girls/Ladies i never see middle aged or older people buying stuff why dont they target that age group?

@ bbb and heeba, great observation. I thought it was a bit of a meat market and a hang out joint. My 7 year old who had an open budget only found a 300N bow with a comb. The ankara necklaces were too big and the bangles fell off her lil hands. The venue was tiny, The LPM Marketing team and their photographer are a bit ace at making it seem a lot more than it is. My 7 year old summed it up as she left. Mum, it is a bit rubbish actually….
lol…i am already thrilled by your 7 year old. hilarious
In a few months we hope to join this wonderful initiative.
I love it….way to go sis Nwamaka!!! Keep up the hard work coz Sky is the limit.Much love from ATL
