Celebrating TW Magazine at 5! All the Photos & Scoop from “TW Magazine 5…to Infinity” in Lagos

In celebrating five years of being truly WOW!, one of Nigeria’s biggest lifestyle publications, TW Magazine, hosted an elegant night of fashion and recognition on Sunday 30th September 2012.

The event which was compered by hilarious Chioma Omeruah, better known as Chigurl, saw designers, Gogo Majin of GM4FM and Theresa Onwuka of Needle Point, set the evening alight with their gorgeous pieces, using vibrant Vlisco prints.  A dramatic touch was also added to the runway, which was interspersed with a series of monologues delivered by some rising Nollywood starlets.

Later in the day, guests continued with a sumptuous dinner, during which TW recognition awards were presented to Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde for her continued work with widows, Lateef Salami, the Nigerian aviation worker who found and returned N 7 Million to its owner and other worthy recipients. After the awards, it was time to dance. Top Nigerian songstresses, Waje and ChiDynma serenaded guests with their delightful tunes while Chigul gave everyone free “Azonto” tutorials.

From beginning to the end, it was a fantastic gathering. BN was on the scene and here are the photos.

The fact dat Bn is alwys takin phoos of omotola when she’s stressed i cnt mehn.Anyways i still love me some omotola :) i love love her outfit

    • How October 23, 2012 at 1:06 pm

How is she stressed here my dear?

    • Bukki October 23, 2012 at 3:56 pm

I don’t think BN intentionally takes pics when peeps are stressed but I do think they need not put up pictures of celebrities when they are not ready for a shot yet. I.e adjusting or about to pose. Everyone even a miss world has bad pictures ,it’s not reasonable to post them except you want to do for controversial purposes. My one cent. ….

    • Zsa zsa October 23, 2012 at 6:07 pm

Always taking pictures of omotola when she’s stressed? The pictures I see above look like she posed for them so….
Everything should should not be controversial abeg, people have good and bad pictures, it is not BN that is intentionally doing anything, for what purpose? No be small thing o!

  • abiola October 23, 2012 at 10:28 am

Another Omotola Wankfest????? Lord have mercy.
On other notes, Dr. Kaine Dosekun is ageing so gracefully. Absolutely stunning.
I see Adesuwa is growing locks. Talking of locks, the Ijewere lady has beautiful locks. A refreshing change from the Indian, Taiwanese and Indonesian hair trending all over the place.
    Best wishes to TW!!

    • Bukki October 23, 2012 at 3:36 pm

Another idak hatefest? Hahahaha….lord have mercy! You go get heart attack on the matter oh! LWTMB !
Good event by the way, loved how classy and decent it looked. Good select crowd. Respectable people. Just got about 3 copies of TW starting from omotola’s and I love it! Omotola and Ezinne Alfa are my prettiest faces for the Night! Nice event. …and congrats Omotola on your Award!

      • Idak October 23, 2012 at 4:10 pm

    Award for widow makeover?

    • Idak October 23, 2012 at 3:23 pm

Be careful, else you’ll be called a hater.

    • jane October 23, 2012 at 8:23 pm

not only did she make them over, which i think is a blessing, because those women never took out time for themselves and devoted themselves to their family, she also gave them provisions and new clothes.

    • Remove the log from your eyes first October 23, 2012 at 8:24 pm

You just tell us one thing, just once you’ve done anything to uplift another mans spirit, even for a minute. SMH.

  • Royal D October 23, 2012 at 3:52 pm

@naija…..Yes an award for the Widow’s makeover she did! It was done by her NGO Oyep( Omotola youth empowerment programme) plus let me refresh your memory, Alot of Nigerians already awarded her with prayers when all saw the pictures including Bella Naija!infact at that time, the story had the highest amount of comments on here over 300! All prayers and blessings on Omotola and her partners in appreciation of their work! So an award by TW is totally not only in line, but long coming.
As for you Idak! You are a HATER confirmed! You drop comments of hate on all Omotola posts, you’ve dropped one on this one already? But guess what? Not enough, you needed to wait around for your irks to arrive! Move on miss, WHO GOD BLESS,NO ONE CAN CURSE! She’s blessed. Live with it!or…..

    • Idak October 23, 2012 at 5:58 pm

I hope you are being paid for this? It will be a sad thing if you do this for free. If for a good fee then i admire your business model.
      Well done.

      • cole October 24, 2012 at 10:16 am

when you are good and loved at what you do, people will sing your praises, omotola thoroughly deserves every praises she is getting here cos she has been wonderful, that makeover of the widows i know must have put smiles on the faces of the beneficiaries, cos it means someone special remembers them in a special way.

    • HONEY COCO October 23, 2012 at 8:35 pm

Who are u fighting with na? LMAO.
Hero worshiping of Omotee makes some people over analyse her. see loads of pretty people in this post. To me, Omot doesnt stand out. i guess dats why idak said that.

  • pynk October 23, 2012 at 4:09 pm
