Confront, Conquer & Cure! The Sussie Agu Osoba Breast Cancer Foundation Gala presents its Inaugural Gala in Lagos – Sunday 25th November 2012

The Sussie Agu Osoba Breast Cancer Foundation (SAOBCF) is happy to announce the inaugural Mandi’s Cancer Aid Gala to be held this Sunday. Founded by two-time breast cancer survivor Mandi Osoba Onakomaiya , this foundation is  committed to battling against the rising occurrence of breast cancer in Nigeria and to the research and advocacy directed towards prevention, early diagnosis and treatment.

Hosted by Ifeoma Williams and media personality, IK Osakioduwa, this gala event promises to be an evening to remember with fun activities including “Be Cancer Smart” exhibition, Pinktail Hour and a Survivor Fashion Show. There would also be a live auction.

According to a rep for the foundation, proceeds from the gala will be specifically used to raise money to operate the recently setup cancer support groups and refurbish the breast cancer unit at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) as well as educate women on the importance of self examinations.
