Music, Fashion & Loads of Fun at the “Runway 3” Show in Abuja! Photos of Empress Njamah, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, Chigul, May D, Osas Ighodaro, Denrele, Iyanya & More

On Saturday 10th November 2012, the city of Abuja was rocking with excitement as the 3rd edition of the sensational annual music and fashion show, Runway Abuja, themed Runway 3 held in style at the ThisDay Dome.

Hosted by Big Brother alumni, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu and comedienne, Chigul, the fun filled event featured a display of collections from 12 creative designers including Baldon, Zohir Taglitt, Ellize, Women’s Designer World, Gemini, Vodi, Add Ons Accessories, Dzyn, Yutees, John Frica, House of Silk and Debby African Stitches.  It was an event showcasing a mix of men and womenswear, couture and prêt-à-porter.

Apart from the display of exquisite fashionable pieces, attendees who arrived in their stylish ensembles, enjoyed musical performances from some of the nation’s most loved entertainers including Iyanya, May D, Rayce and Aje Butter, while comedian Funny Bone got every one laughing with his rib cracking jokes.

She’s back on the Red Carpet – At Runway 3, Nollywood star Empress Njamah made her red carpet appearance in months. The Cleopatra star stunned in a multi-colored print dress, black studded ankle strap heels, a gold ring and sequined bag. She finished off her look with a wavy hair do and luscious pink lips.

Ebuka Obi-Uchendu walks in Denrele’s Shoes – Channel O TV Presenter, Denrele Edun is known for making a statement at social gatherings, not just for his every changing hairstyle or outfits but with his huge grey sequined boots. At Runway 3, BBA alum, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu experienced what it felt like to walk in Denrele’s shoes on stage, which he almost stumbled on.

Fashion – Move over Lagos, Abuja is taking over as the best dressed city. From minis to knee length dresses to floor length frocks, ladies at Runway 3 showed up in their glam ensembles while the gents looked dapper as well.
