We have seen many celebrities from Wizkid to Iyanya and Davido on Ndani TV’s The Juice but none can beat the very outspoken Nollywood star, Tonto Dikeh.
In this interview with Toolz, the pokolet brought her stylish best – rocking a black leather jacket, wavy locks and a “Fabulous” gold belt.

She always wanted to be a man – When Toolz asked her what career path she wanted to choose when growing up, Tonto said an Engineer. And jokingly said I always wanted to be a man. To do the man work.
Music keeps her happy - You may not like her singles, Hi, Itz Ova and Crazically Fit, but Tonto is not backing down anytime soon. Speaking on crossing over from acting to music, she tells Toolz, I just picked up a new passion, something to keep me going, something I can be happy about.
Criticism doesn’t get to her – Love her or not, Tonto says criticism doesn’t ever get to her, She tells Toolz that I have always had negative comments, that’s how I live, feed and get my strength
Her Music Video will be shot for FREE – Yes, you read that right. Tonto won the Nigezie Magic Factory and they will shoot the video for free. She tells Toolz, the video will be colourful, poko-ish, lovely.

She is Taken – If one of your new year resolutions is to meet Tonto and propose to her, you better think twice. When asked about her relationship status, Tonto gushed that she is in a relationship and said she had a “past” with Don Jazzy..ok!

I agree with your statement completely. My pet peeve is bad and/or over-abundance of weaves. And for real, Tonto Dike is a horrible actress and her spoken english in movies is horrible (note people I didn’t say her accent), I mean her grammar is really poor when acting. On a more positive note she does look nice here!!!

I get that she has developed a rhino’s skin in other to keep going. Look closely after even bragging about being extremely good, she looks away (she looks down) and continues, that says to me that it is an attitude she has adopted and that she isnt deluded. You have to have that attitude to freely be an expressive person (which she is naturally).

As for the interview…. Well Tonto is a great actress, expression is always on point, truth be told, singing ain’t for her… But still, wish her the very best, at least she’s trying to make a living in an honorable way….
Nigeria celebrities are the only ones who don’t answer questions directly.. Ask them, are u in a relationship? Are u dating xxxx? Is it true u once had a crush on xxxx? Are u getting married?? Do u think xxx is deserved to win???etc their answers are all d same- “i don’t discuss me private life publicly or No need to ask cos I wouln’t answer”. Tonto is different from all of them, maybe that’s why I like her now though not a fan.

I think a lot of people just enjoy criticizing this girl. Apart from the unnecessary ‘phonerized’ pronunciation of ‘because’, I must complement her on her body language in this interview. Fair enough her songs may not be everyone’s cup of tea but at least lets cut her some slack. Furthermore, I liked her comment on how people judge her based on the way she interprets her roles. Lets be honest, if you’re judging based on character interpretation in her movies then believe it or not it means shes believable in portraying these characters which automatically makes her a darn good actress.
