Love, Today & Forever: Tolu Odukoya & Olumide Ijogun Wed

What a wonderful union! On the 3rd of November 2012, years after they met in secondary school, Tolu Odukoya and Olumide Ijogun were joined together in holy matrimony. It was a truly blessed day filled with so much love!
Tolu and Olumide’s wedding ceremony took place at the Fountain of Life Church in Lagos. Tolu was a vision of classic bridal elegance in her lace dress by Pronovias. The full a-line skirt, layers of tulle topped with rebrode lace and crystal embellishments of her dress were accentuated by her dazzling accessories including a statement necklace, diamond stud earrings and a dainty tiara-eque headpiece – the entire look was breathtakingly regal. It was not a surprise that the groom was teary eyed as he admired his Mrs as she walked down the aisle. The groom Olumide was dapper in his dark blue suit paired with a white shirt and bow-tie accessorized with a classic ivory boutonnière. The couple’s wedding ceremony was filled with an abundance of prayers, well wishes and joyful songs.
After the church blessing, the bridal party transitioned to the grand reception. Guests admired the bridesmaids in sleek 50s inspired lace dresses with wide-brimmed hats and the groomsmen were not left out as they rocked their black suits with orange ties to match the colours of the day.
Tolu and Olumide’s reception was an unforgettable experience as they celebrated their love surrounded by family and friends. After they danced into the venue, it was time for a change as Tolu transformed once again as she wore a midi pink bouclé dress by Deola Sagoe. After the couple cut their wedding cake, Nigerian musical icon Onyeka Onwenu serenaded the sweethearts and then the bride Tolu took over the mic as she sang a special song for her husband. It was such an amazing moment and an amazing day!
BN wishes Tolu and Olumide a blessed and fruitful union. May each day be filled with love, happiness and divine favour!
