Awards show and red carpet favourite. That’s the word to describe Japanese-born American fashion designer, Tadashi Shoji‘s pieces. From the Golden Globes, Grammys to the Oscars, his outfits have been worn by Octavia Spencer, Julie Bowen, Dita Von Teese, Mena Suvari, Florence Welch and Kelly Osbourne.
Now, he can add our very own songstress, Waje to that list.
Today we have Waje and Latin-American reality star, Janney ‘Chiquis’ Marin battling it out for your fave in a black pin tuck jersey sleeve gown with sheer cut-out detail from his design label’s Fall 2012 collection.
At the Y! Magazine Black Ball, which took place on Sunday 16th December at the Landmark Events Centre, Nigerian singer, Waje donned the same frock.
The 32 year old music star, accessorized her dress with drop earrings, multi-colored diamond bracelet, red peep-toes and a sleek up-do.

She finished her look by styling her ombré curls in a fun up ‘do that swept to the side and a glossy poppy red pout.

At the L.A premiere of The Book Mormon, the Mad Men Star, Christina Hendricks wore a three-quarter sleeve cocktail dress with illusion accents while Rebel Wilson donned a pin tuck jersey boat neck flare skirt dress with sheer cut-out detail to the premiere of the Bachelorette.

Janney most definitely. The dress is better floor-length, not almost. That being said, I don’t like Waje’s shoes and the best version of the dress is the sleeveless short one
It’s not long enough on Waje but I like it better on her cos she doesn’t have love handles like d other woman. She has a nicer figure as well.

Marin wore it better. Her skin colour, very long dress and earrings just made it appealing to the eyes.
I believe chiquis is rocking it better. Her shape is much more hourglass and sexier. The dress definitely accentuates her curves…hands down!
