BellaNaija Style is always looking for ways to promote new design labels that will take the Nigerian fashion industry to the next level. Today we have an emerging Nigerian fashion brand, 1407 Style.
The label aimed at creating stylish and classic pieces is out with its Grace collection Lookbook. According to the creative director, Ugochukwu Onukwubiri, this Grace collection is inspired by his grand mother, who passed away when he was working on it. He says “It’s a dedication” to her.
Check it Out!

Hmmmmmmm!
Well am not impressed! There’s absolutely no theme or inspiration behind this work, i must confess!
I wont knock your hustle, but more effort should have been made in terms of cohesiveness and originality. This goes in too many directions, and none particularly interesting. Also the photography seems a little dated. I suggest the designer takes some time out to search for their own voice and a source of inspiration.
Well said
wow!!! beautiful job, fantastic models…im quite impressed… keep it up
I really dont know wats beautiful about these designs. The chic is a good tailor but certainly not a designer! Its high time, Nigerians understand the true meaning of the word “designer” before dabbing into it!
her quality of material is way better than those mainland tailors calling themselves designers, mtcheww, dont knock her hustle jor
I luv them, pls can I know how tall the first model is?
You rock girl, your quality of materials are nice for a young designer. Modella and co take note, you guys are not exposed doing horrible designs and materials the lot of you at fadan
i see no definable aesthetic… no cohesiveness… no inspiration. but there’s room for improvement. so much better than doing nothing at all.
goodluck.
Nice collection, well put together too, better than a lot of collections we ve seen here, watch out for HOUSE OF ZINNO COLLECTION.
*giggles* at everyone assuming the designer’s female… His name is UGOCHUKWU!
It’s not that bad.

wooooooooow loverrrrrrryly designs! and its a ‘HE’ behind these…biko inspiration experts, find your own inspirations before you knock someone’s hustle! i love love! especially this: http://bellanaija.cdn.premiumhost.com.ng/wp-content/uploads/2013/01/1407-Style-Grace-Collection-BellaNaija029.jpg
now this is what i call fashion forward, maki ih take note…… i can rock any of these dresses anytime….way to go guys…….
So the dresses are simply gorgeous, especially the first 2 and I know the models are 2 of Nigeria’s best so i am guessing the fault is from the creative director of the shoot who had no direction for the shoot. Also, I am sorry to say but the makeup is a total wreck. I would have expected a really high fashion style shoot for this kind of dresses. O well, I guess it comes down to people not wanting to pay good money for quality service.
