BN Pick Your Fave: Kemi “Lala” Akindoju & Toke Makinwa in House of Nwocha

Get your fashion-guru shades on because it’s time for another fabulous edition of BellaNaija’s Pick Your Fave.
Today, we have Nigerian actress, Kemi “Lala” Akindoju and media personality, Toke Makinwa battling it out for your fave pick in a black roused lace and sequin velvet dress from House of Nwocha‘s Fall 2012 collection – Yoshinaka.

Kemi “Lala” Akindoju
Nigerian actress/TV host, Kemi “Lala” Akindoju was the first to don this black frock at the 2012 Headies on Saturday 20th October 2012 at the Eko Hotel & Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.
Kemi played it safe and opted for a black camisole to cover the dress’ plunging neckline. She accessorized the dress with a gold earring and ring with black crystals and a black clutch. She finished her look with a side hairstyle.
Toke Makinwa
Two months later at the inaugural Y! Magazine Black Ball on Sunday 16th December 2012, 28 year old Nigerian media personality Toke Makinwa arrived on the black carpet in the same dress.
Known for her risqué fashion choices, Toke chose to wear the dress as seen exactly from the runway – flaunting a very generous décolletage. The radio and TV presenter as well as blogger, accessorized her outfit with gold earrings and bracelets and packed her wavy locks hair with a gold hair clip with green crystals

Definitely Lala. I am a sucker for covering up but in this regard Lala carried it off better. Not only is she taller than Toke who looks like the dress is wearing her instead, Lala also has a better grace to carry it off. And besides her covering up is way better than Toke’s descending chest & definitely not flattering bust which doesn’t do the dress any justice.

Thank you oh Uji. While I am a big fan of Lala, I don’t see the point in ‘wasting’ the dress by using a camisole. It’s designed to show off and that is exactly what my darling Toke did. That being said, I don’t like the dress on either of them.

The dress is indecent, if you wear that dress and cover it up it forfeits the whole purpose of wearing the dress. They both look a mess, but Toke looks better. You all just hate her

i think the dress is very heavy, but if i had to pick i would say Kemi, might be something to do with her being taller than Toke, and able to carry the heaviness of the dress better

oyibos that wear stuff like these wear the right bra,s……u have all kinda bras, adhesive etc…….when u buy a dress make sure u have the right bra depending on ur kind of boobs……naija girls enough follow follow without sense
