BN got this cute story and we just had to share. On Sunday 9th December 2012, an annual event that celebrates twins, multiples and their parents – Twins Concert – took place at the Golden Tulip Hotel, Festac, Lagos.
According to the organizer’s rep, Twins + Concert is an annual event aimed at strengthening ties among twins and non-twins alike, fostering peace and friendship. Twins + Concert will serve as a platform to celebrate and share the unique values and deepen the bond among twins and multiple births including parents of multiple births.
The event kicked off with a red carpet session which saw all the twins pose in their matchy-matchy ensembles. Check out photos from the event.

I think it’s actually worth celebrating twins considering not too long ago they were killed for being ‘evil’. The event may need structure but the motive behind it is good.
i guess the people that went saw the purpose and enjoyed themselves..

Pls continue. Good start at this twins show . You will get better, good concept! Hope psquare etc encourage them. There was a time when twins were killed in calabar and many still frown at the birth of twins! It’s a blessing not a curse! Congrats on the show.

The same way people with similar characteristics come together to celebrate themselves e.g. Society of engineers, christian or muslim fellowships on campuses, breast cancer survivors etc, thats the same way twins/mulitples celebrate themselves. I’m not a twin but I think they should be celebrated. If you don’t want to be celebrated, thats fine. Just don’t knock others.

You need know about people in Igboora who have the highest rate of twins, they give birth to those kids with little or no resources to finance thier upkeep. How about doing things in that direction, coming together to support a good cause as such, By doing that you indeed celebrate the awesomeness of God.

Do you know what it takes to carry a single pregnancy, not to talk of twins? Haba not everything must be over polished in life. That is why we are what we are. Nothing wrong or wacky about it. Around the globe similar events are held to celebrate children of multiple births. People are generally fascinated by twins, triplets are their special connection. A bit elitist of some of you to call it wacky or tacky.

I hear some peeps use words like creepy and all of that…. Nigerians keep acting like their life’s more perfect than others. For Gods sake this is like every other event being posted on BN,you dont expect everyone to be as tush as u think they should or to be dressed as you want them to. There shouldnt be an issue about pple not dressed as u want them to in this particular event. Most of us here in naija try to be so judgemental whenever something is being said or done by some other person.
