On Wednesday 13th February 2013, Michelle Bello’s anticipated romantic movie Flower Girl starring Damilola Adegbite, Chuks Chukwujekwu, Chris Attoh, Eku Edewor, Bikiya Graham-Douglas, Teni Aofiyebi, Tosan Edremoda, Jude Orhorha,Ahide Adum, Ijeoma Grace Agu, Angela Adiele and Patrick Doyle premiered in floral style at the Silverbird Cinemas, Victoria Island, Lagos.
The Silverbird Galleria was transformed beautifully into a perfect venue for the world premiere of “Flower Girl”. The uber stylish scene adorned with roses and petals and lots of red layouts was in line with the romantic movie and the Valentine’s Day celebration.
Guests spotted at the premiere include Elohor Aisien, Tiwa Savage, Gbenro Ajibade, Lynxxx, Toke Makinwa, DJ Caise, Thelma Ojiji, Karen Young, Osas Ighodaro, OC Ukeje, Kemi “Lala” Akindoju, Abubakar Tafawa Balewa and Oreka Godis as well as Michelle Bello’s parents. The movie was co-produced by Michelle Dede who was also at the event.
We have to say that we were totally impressed by the organization of the premiere! Kudos to No Surprises Event Architects! Decor was by Newton and David.

Damilola Adegbite - The movie’s leading lady arrived in a purple floor length dress by April by Kunbi which features a lace bodice and long sleeve as well as an open back. She accessorized with drop earrings and yellow clutch.

Chris Attoh - The 32 year old Tinsel star rocked a resplendent Mai Atafo blue single button suit, paired with a white shirt, a black bow tie and black shoes.

Chuks Chukwujekwu - Ladies take note, this is Nollywood’s next eligible bachelor. The movie’s lead actor looked sharp in a black double-button suit.

Eku Edewor - TV presenter turned actress donned an edgy piece by Bunmi Koko Couture. Her cream blazer and print dress was accessorized with blue drop earrings, blue bracelet, a silver watch, a crystallized blue-silver clutch, a pair of Valentino Rockstud Slingback sandals previously worn by Tiwa Savage and Ene Maya Lawani.

Perhaps if they put all the attention to detail that was done to make this event a success into the actual movie i would not feel so short changed right now. I saw this movie on Saturday I expected much more. A more compelling story would have done it for me not a Mills and Boon excerpt……..Alas!!!!!

Umm the osas person clearly doesn’t understand red carpets. Its not always about ball gowns besides it is not your premiere! That is a fail for me sorry. Way to much hunnie. I really like Tiwa’s outift. I feel like people just like to hate on her for no reason. The outfit is fab on her jor! At least she’s covered up here what else do you people want sef. Elohor is simple and graceful as ever. And even the star of the night Eku is not wearing ball gown and she looks effortlessy beautiful. Venita lol! Best dressed for me is Venita, I don’t know who she is though. Her dress is well tailored. Toke’s dress is also well tailored but a tiny bit tight. Damilola could have done better. That dress is poorly sown and poorly fitted.

The back of Damilola’s dress is nice but the front is funny and unflattering. Michelle Dede and Tiwa’s outfits are confusing. Gbenro should please stop with the Uti like pose, its disturbing. Eku looks stunning as usual and i’m happy to not see the Celine! all in all, not bad at all! and i’m very happy to see Nigerians in (our amazing)Nigerian designs!
saw the movie yesterday….. loved it. not the typical Nollywood movie, its a must watch.

Later you people will say Tiwa Savage is stylish….rubbish. She rarely gets it right in my opinion. She’s pretty and has a nice body that she doesn’t dress to suit. The cuts are always funny and unflattering. Tiwa, stop with the abstract and biased cuts and stick with clothes that give the silhouette structure and defines your waist. I know you’re trying to push boundaries but please understand your body type biko!
Damilola is a pretty gal,but the dress is an eye sore on her…her thighs ewwwww,like akamu,that is not well mixed…I actually saw that thesame dress on the runway,and fit the model like a glue…even have to Save the pix,blcas I want…Eku,Dabason lawson,Toke(v colourful),Elohor etc are my fav…Tiwa face look sweet,like an innocent,shy virgin…..Nice event…
