Welcome to “#WorkFlow”, a weekly column where I give you all the juiciest ‘gist’ of what’s been going on in the industry, especially some reports we missed during the week. That is, the ‘news’ news and the ‘not-so-news’ news. Brace yourself, this week’s episode is really special as it is dedicated to any one who has a friend out there. Let’s jump right into it.

Did you know?

I was on Cool FM yesterday, Friday 16th August, 2013 for a test run of a #WorkFlow radio show with Temilistic Temi. It went really well and it might soon become a regular thing (fingers crossed). Anyway, it’s a great way to get the first scoop from #Workflow and I really hope it all works out. Moving on…

‘Sis-mance’, or ‘sister-mance’  (the best I could come up with for a female version of ‘bromance’) was rampant this week as we saw a couple familiar BFFs get cuddly and in some cases, a little too cuddly.

Former Miss Tanzania, Millen Magese (yes, it seems like she’s always in Nigeria, right?) was a little under the weather this week at her home in New York, so her BFF – model and financial analyst Funmilayo Alaiyemola (Funmi New York) took on the reins of bringing her back to good health.

Funmi stuck around to make sure Millen got better.

And, when Millen did, she said ‘thank you’ with quite a gesture.

I think it’s almost rare to find girlfriends really have each other’s backs like that. It’s so cute when girls get along.

Lo! The sis-mance continues… Remember those two models that had us gasping on last week’s #WorkFlow? You don’t? {click here if you missed last week’s episode} Well, Big Brother Africa stars Barbz and Zainab Sheriff have been flaunting their BFF status everywhere they go. It’s almost like they are now dating inseparable.

Now it’s time for some ‘bromance’. D’Banj and Wizkid decided to flaunt their new found love friendship as they rocked the same Versace shirt during Wizkid‘s video shoot in the UK. I think it’s cool that D’Banj went out there for a video shoot to show solidarity but as for the matching shirts? – I dunno mehn

This begs the question though – Where is baddo lee? Did they break up?_______________________________________________________________________________
BFFs aren’t always between ‘just guys’ and ‘just girls’, some involve a guy and a lady. Uche Jombo and Desmond Elliot have managed to keep their BFF status through a lot – marriages, movies, bad hair days, endorsement deals and bold bald hair cuts. If they can get through Desmond’s new hairdo, They can get through anything.

Bald, afro’d or dreaded, these birds flock together.

We can’t talk about BFFs without talking about relationships too right? Ghanaian actor, John Dumelo is in the news again for his ‘married/not married’ situation with an American woman, Harrina Alexander.

At Channel O’s recent event in Ghana, the actor arrived with quite a voluptuous lady that quickly had tongues wagging that John found himself a new girlfriend. That news quickly spurned his American missus (who Temi Cool FM suggests he probably married for papers) to vent about a forthcoming divorce. Check this!

All I’m wondering about right now is – Who’s the new girl? She’s got ‘the goods’ got a nice blue dress.

Some other big ‘BFF’ news is definitely Toolz finally admitting this week that her ‘business associate’, Tunde Demuren is the man she’s dating.

And now for the ‘couple of the moment’ – Wizkid and Tania Omotayo.

Two weeks ago, Wizkid breezily said that he would not get married for another ten years.

It seems that statement may have sparked a heated discussion between the couple as just a few days ago, Tania specifically mentioned marriage as her reason for not living with the young superstar.

Is it possible that Tania is ready to settle down but Wizkid isn’t? Or am I over thinking things here? Either way, these two look gorgeous together and we wish them the best.
