Sometimes BN, sometimes. But you must have a talent or two if you don’t have a degree. Beautiful homes…good for them.

  • honeymix January 20, 2014 at 10:56 am

BN, we have young people who read this. Are you telling them a degree is not even worth it. Its really cool.

    • sigh January 20, 2014 at 11:04 am

a degree cannot always buy u the finest things in life SURELY is not the same as a degree isn’t worth it. pls use that thing in ur head called a brain.

“…Sigh, may be our parents were wrong after all…a degree sometimes doesn’t buy us the finest things of life.”
BellaN shud be called up on that statement.
An EDUCATION (as Retta has distinguished) is the most important legacy a parent can leave a child. These days, education (even of the musical incline) has been formalised resulting in some form of kpali (degree).

i don’t know how many parents told their kids that book would get them the “finest” (where finest is a subjective term) …but to suggest that perhaps (our) parents were wrong..?!! based on the statistics of a P-Sq, TuFace to the teeming peoples of Naija trying to break out of the under-a-dollar-a-day living. Nuh-uh.

    • D'Mamma January 20, 2014 at 9:42 pm

But really a degree doesn’t mean passport to the good life. It worked during the days of our parents but those days are long gone. I believe in intellectuals and acquiring all the degrees in the world but hey…let’s call a spade a spade

Before Nko!… It was and will never be the Degree, it was Never school/schooling and will never be… It is Education, Education in a particular art designed for you to be a master over by God. They are Educated in the art of Music, there is more than one way to become an educated man and it has nothing to do with the four walls of a School,Nothing!..

  • Hey January 20, 2014 at 12:23 pm

Cool good for them! Good ample space. If it were my house tho I’ll defo be changing a lot of the interior to make it more modern. It’s a bit to ancient looking for me. And that fan is hideous #thereISaidIt whooo!

  • eniola January 20, 2014 at 1:01 pm

Easy on BN folks. You should have at least taken note of the ”sometimes” in the way it was written. Which is true by the way. ”a degree sometimes doesn’t buy us the finest things of life.”

  • SugarSugar January 20, 2014 at 2:34 pm

    • Nominee January 20, 2014 at 4:05 pm

I no be professional interior designer but those who are please weigh in on this space as all this ozumba sofas, loveseats…. are overwhelming for my eyes…. being an avid lover of less is more, clean minimalist pieces, couldn’t a nice sectional replace all the ozumba pintucked sofas.

  • nene January 20, 2014 at 5:47 pm

a degree doesn’t get everything. a degree gets u an average
life. hardwork gets you everything! and then some people are just
    lucky.

For the one who heard Atl has the cheapest home…you’ll be fooled like many..You get a cheap home in the Ghetto. Google your Atl home then google the neighborhood…..And for many who say the taste of furniture is traditional, old etcetera, well that’s because it ain’t theirs..FREAKING LEASED APT DOWNTOWN/MIDTOWN ATL liars!!!Since they wanna show everything on instagram why not show the signed docs with it. P2 may fool those in Nigeria!!

These guys like to show off sha. For half the amount of money, my décor will exude more sophistication. Look at that wallpaper in the kitchen/ dining area, and the lights in the bathroom. Nna.

OUR PARENTS ARE NOT WRONG!! A DEGREE IS WORTH IT. IN THE LONG RUN PEOPLE WITH DEGREES HAVE A BETTER CHANCE. PLEASE PROMOTE EDUCATION IN AFRICA AND NOT SINGING AND DANCING. A DEGREE IS THE FASTEST WAY TO BUILD GENERATIONAL WEALTH FOR YOUR COMMUNITY. JUST ASL THE JEWISH PPL. THEY CAME FROM THE HOLOCAUST TO BEING BANKERS LAWYERS AND DOCTORS. THEY OWN AND RUN THINGS
