Oh no. The camera makes her look dark, a lot bigger in size and generally weird. Etisalat needs to reshoot this or something.

      • omoobanta January 29, 2014 at 9:04 AM

I don’t know if you know this but…Genny is dark skinned…

      • Shao January 29, 2014 at 5:03 AM

So basically your a staff who is trying to turn people against your company’s product?
Imagine etisalat has employed an enemy and they don’t even know it yet!!?!!?!?!

        • Angel January 29, 2014 at 10:40 AM

My dear that’s Nigerians for u, am a proper Omo naija but I find it really difficult to invest or do business with Nigerians especially any business that I cannot fully commit to and demands that I get a staff, Its pretty difficult. ..The best part is that so many of them re crying cos they re jobless, yet wen they get a job, they have no idea what loyalty means, it’s pathetic and then everybody blames govt for all wahala….

      • Amazonlife January 29, 2014 at 10:09 AM

Good for nothing staff u are.

      • Uche January 29, 2014 at 11:22 AM

        that job traitor.

      boring Ad

    • Paddy January 29, 2014 at 4:20 AM

Hmm. Let’s hope subsequent commercials will have better production quality. Anyhow, good job Gene n Hakeem!

    • Cooc January 29, 2014 at 4:48 AM

Make up all wrong; lighting all wrong, hairstyle all wrong; her look (baby boomerlike) would have worked if she was chauffeur driven in a Maybach or something along that line but her look does not match the card. Should have had an edgier softer hairstyle. an overall edgy sexy look for that car.

    • anony January 29, 2014 at 5:31 AM

hissssssssssssssss …….dont go spending 100M on Mrs overrated when you know you wont have enuf to shoot a decent COMMERCIAL ..mismanagement of funds

    • trufactoid January 29, 2014 at 5:59 AM

100 million indeed. I feel you guys are actually making fun of her in a round about way. Anyway, the advert looks terrible. Etisalat no try at all

    • e-bukun January 29, 2014 at 6:18 AM

here’s the thing, who’s the target market for this campaign? No matter how flashy this seems, I still don’t get what’s being sold. If the average ojo can’t understand all this brighter grammar, then how is this effective? “I don port” still lingers in my head, and I get what they were selling, I have no idea what this easy flex ad is driving at.

      • Kwakwacity January 29, 2014 at 10:20 AM

Ebukun na u make sense pass, who is the target market? Easy Flex is complicated and it’s just a trap! Activate and regret! Driving and speaking long English how would the common man understand? Same thing with that Uche face your work o, come down to the customer ‘s level!

        • bidemi March 11, 2014 at 1:56 AM

          yeye staff,shameless thing hissss.

    • me January 29, 2014 at 6:20 AM

I don’t know why telecommunication companies think their celebrity “ambassadors ” will make people patronize them.

      • ContessaVlad January 29, 2014 at 2:12 PM

Exactly! I don’t get it. They should do a survey asking customers what informed their decision before deciding on a parrticular network. I ported from MTN to Etisalat because of ‘cheaper’ tariff and call quality and not because of any celebrity ambassador. They should focus their resources on service delivery and they will see their margins increase. Waje posing with her mouth open and clutching a phone to her ears would not make me buy a glo line. It doesn’t work that way!

    • it's not alright January 29, 2014 at 6:30 AM

welldone Genny but it could have been better. here is my take on what should have been (i know nobody asked me…cough cough)
they could have given her shoulder length hair, bouncy and wavy and then when she drove up, she would turn to her right and wink at him, and then turn to her left where there would be more lightning on her face ( i said lightning oh, bf the bleaching army attacks me which i am against myself) and then talk with all that sass, poise and confidence(i thought confidence was lacking a little seeing as u r endorsing a product, u should be confident about it but not too bad,) then , nod to Hakeem or is it wink, whichever works and then zoom off. that would have done it, well, IMO bc comparing her to her endorsing colleague, she was a little flat, u could see the poise, and confidence in Hakeem but again like i said, good Genny and i am happy for u oh….the sky is indeed ur starting point.

    • waka waka January 29, 2014 at 7:20 AM

Chai! 100M for wetin!!!!Etisalat contact me oh

    • Miss Anonymous January 29, 2014 at 8:16 AM

Hakeem’s performance in the ad was spot on. Good job! I see why he won an AMA. He brought the right energy to the shoot and delivered his lines perfectly. Genevieve’s performance was very disappointing. Has she not seen professional ads before? The wink was akward and forced, her head movements were even more akward, her energy in the video was bland, and she sounded like she was repeating lines she had memorized. She didn’t exude the confidence of someone who realizes she’s receiving better service that consumers at all other competing firms. That must have been the point of Etisalat customizing Lamborghinis for the shoot; they wanted to capture that moment of a confident satisfied customer driving home content. They should have stopped the video when Hakeem was done.

      • hawtspot January 29, 2014 at 12:55 PM

        Good analysis, absolutely true

      • ILoveGenevieve January 29, 2014 at 10:31 PM

They didn’t. They won’t. Tell me how it hurts? Go Genevieve! :D

      • Blessmyheart January 29, 2014 at 10:47 PM

I agree with with you. I didn’t feel her at all. Hakeem was good enough, her part wasn’t necessary.

    • Dolapo January 29, 2014 at 8:46 AM

      I think she’s pregnant.

      • defy January 29, 2014 at 7:22 PM

I think so too! She looks puffed up with facial edema!!

    • Jumie O January 29, 2014 at 9:07 AM

For 100Million Naira this definitely blows! The Advert is a hog wash it needs to be revamped. Did the brand and commercial managers of Etisalat endorse this?? terrible.

    • John January 29, 2014 at 9:18 AM

She seems uneasy in the advert…also feels like they did it over and over again until the sadly settled for this.

    • Favoured January 29, 2014 at 9:20 AM

Boring or not…she’z bagged home 100m. I”M THE NEXT IN LINE

      • bidemi March 11, 2014 at 1:59 AM

        abi o!

    • Lola January 29, 2014 at 9:26 AM

SHE WAS NOT PAID 100 MILLION. 8MILLION ONLY. I WORK FOR ETISALAT NIGERIA

      • Bossom January 29, 2014 at 9:33 AM

Lol. U r pathetic. Now go back to selling recharge cards

      • trufactoid January 29, 2014 at 11:49 AM

Don’t mind Bella Naija and their lies. We are no longer stupid fans. we don go school

    • Jane Public January 29, 2014 at 10:58 AM

and that is an actress. Geez, see how forced and stilted her entire 15 seconds was. and that is an actress. and that is an actress. I keep repeating thsoe words in my head. Not a nursery school teacher reciting lines. That is an actress. She was paid to do this right. There’s obviously some weird drug filtering through the AC at Etisalat for them to pay what not and that is the quality she can deliver. See Hakeem now. Toh, I give up.

      • nene January 29, 2014 at 12:23 PM

my dear. for an actress, her previous advert with the milk company, the polo advert and this one, she lacks confidence, even after all these years and no screen presence. she’s a lucky girl, that’s the only explanation, or maybe she has oga’s at the top. who knows? on the other hand, HAKEEM aced this, very charismatic and great actor!!!

        • ofk January 30, 2014 at 12:28 AM

you lie bad, stop hating you loser the milk advert was rated the best in nigeria during that time. go and check yr records. is not her fault that your omotolla and rita are always behind her

      • Leah January 29, 2014 at 7:45 PM

You know what? You are absolutely right she did not do well in this ad at all, acting, makeup, hair and all. But I honestly think she is a very good actor and I have seen quite a few of her movies. I don’t know if that is in comparison to other Nollywood actresses which is nothing to write home about. I think she needs to work on her confidence and take some acting classes to get herself up to where I think she is capable of being. She is a beautiful and talented lady but she comes from a society that does not believe in ‘anything worth doing is worth doing right’. I hope they reshoot this after seeing the feed back, and Genny please practice and master your lines ahead of time and nail this thing like only you can. I just love her, you guys are going to make me cry :(

      • ILoveGenevieve January 29, 2014 at 10:17 PM

I think its your eyes. It replicates poise as force. Ain’t nothing wrong with that, but its funny though ….like really very funny Public.

    • david January 29, 2014 at 11:43 AM

the endorsement deal is 8 million naira abeg, pple should stop overhyping things, bella naija please confirm before you post>> 8 million, th whole marketing budget for easy flex in 2014 is a little over 100 million

    • nene January 29, 2014 at 12:27 PM

i love this advert. it’s more fun than the glo ambassador’s adverts. Hakeem, you are EVERYTHING! buru gawa! genevieve, this your luck has taken you this far, i hope it can sustain you. nothing to write home about. and like someone said, she looks old in this advert.

      • ILoveGenevieve January 29, 2014 at 10:12 PM

        Says the unlucky nene.

    • NNENNE January 29, 2014 at 12:48 PM

@ Angel. ….Your comment is on point. Thanks.

    • hawtspot January 29, 2014 at 12:52 PM

Etisalat will need to revisit this TVC cos it is void of
information, they really said nothing about this product.

    • NNENNE January 29, 2014 at 12:54 PM

Thank you Lord for teaching me to be happy for others,
      always.

    • Kwakwacity January 29, 2014 at 1:01 PM

Of cus she is old! The advert is a no filter so we can see her real face! We can’t stop aging, she was lucky enough to go into acting when it bloomed! Her performance remains empty, and pls using celebrities to sell products doesn’t mean people would buy! When will this get old?

    • meme January 29, 2014 at 1:25 PM

She started her lines so wrongly, I cringed. The word ‘can’ is pronounced (kăn; kən). Etisalat and Genevieve can definitely do better.

    • pp January 29, 2014 at 1:30 PM

those that are making noise, the noise is just for nothing Genevieve Nnaji have already collected
her cash. you can kill yr self for nothing. instead of you people to pray that God should connect you to people that matters you are here making noise sorry. my people use to say teeth will rotten goat while dog will be chewing stick

    • Feisty chic January 29, 2014 at 1:40 PM

Ok. I had to watch the add twice and to say the truth, gent actually made me understand what they were talking about that if you buy 1.5gb and above you get twice that amount of data on value. I didn’t understand a single thing Hakeem was talking about. And pls stop comparing the two by their accents. She did ok with her part.

    • Joan85 January 29, 2014 at 2:27 PM

Gene looks pregnant…for my eye sha! :)
Hakeem nailed it, very clear and precise.

      • defy January 29, 2014 at 7:31 PM

        Yes I think she is pregnant! Don’t judge the accent,Hakeem is a British-Nigerian Actor(google).

    • PP January 29, 2014 at 2:50 PM

Ehen i really need a good brand analyst, brand manager or product manager’s to help me explain?. Do these companies do a brand @ brand analysis before picking brand ambassadors or they just pick the most popular person and pow! 100 million naira. I dont want to belive people will buy into d brand or product just because Genny face is pasted there. I think there telecommunication companies are wasting serious money on these celebrities ni! 3 Nigerian adverts that made so much sense to me ( and am sure the companies didnt break the bank) 1. MTN Adv O Jerry 2. Udeme was a great man ( Guiness) 3. Honey well Noddles ( bam bam lala)

      • Olori Tari January 29, 2014 at 9:10 PM

        Bless you…those are ADVERTS !

    • Modella January 29, 2014 at 3:51 PM

Pathetic nigerians..she is smiling to the bank.

      • Olori Tari January 29, 2014 at 9:15 PM

And this is why Nigeria isn’t moving forward. This mentality is appalling… This is you basically saying “Mediocrity/half baked job is perfectly alright, as long as you are smiling to the bank” Correct me if I’m wrong. That being said, I don’t agree with how less constructive some of these criticisms are.

    • Nominee January 29, 2014 at 4:11 PM

While we oooh and aaah over Kazeem’s performance and Genny’s not-so-great performance, give your opinion on Osu caste system here myvividthoughts.wordpress.com/2014/01/29/osu-my-foot/

    • phummie January 29, 2014 at 4:35 PM

I agree that the stylist did a poor job. wrong outfit, styling and make – up for d setting. But anyway, shes made her money already…….

    • Mrs Nwosu January 29, 2014 at 5:53 PM

Common people, the advert wasnt so bad. Hakeem nailed it though

    • ILoveGenevieve January 29, 2014 at 10:14 PM

Congrulations Genevieve. However, whoever shot this commercial needs to refund the salary paid. The lighting was a mess.

    • jone January 30, 2014 at 12:19 AM

haters will always be haters, we love you genny and me and ma gang has already switched etisalat cos of genny.
