2015 Elections: Halliru Inaugurates President Jonathan’s Declaration Sub-committees

Bello Haliru Mohammed, the Chairman, Presidential Declaration Committee of Goodluck Jonathan re-election 2015, has inaugurated the various sub-committees that will assist the main committee in the discharge of its duties.

Inaugurating the sub-committees in Abuja on Thursday, Halliru charged the members to work assiduously to ensure the success of the event.

He noted the importance of such a declaration and urged members to work toward ensuring the best and most organised declaration in recent times.

Responding on behalf of members of the subcommittees, Babangida Aliyu of Niger praised the transformational efforts of Jonathan.

He thanked the main committee for finding members worthy to discharge this onerous responsibility.

He assured that members would meet the expectations of the challenge bestowed upon them.

Aliyu prayed for the continued peace, progress and prosperity of the country.

Also present at the meeting were governors Ibrahim Dankwambo of Gombe State, Ibrahim Shema of Katsina State, Liyel Imoke of Cross Rivers and the immediate past Governor of Anambra, Peter Obi.

The sub-committees inaugurated include Media and Publicity sub-committee with Senator Aniete Okon as Chairman, Finance sub-committee with Diezani Allison Madueke as Chairperson and Venue and Decoration sub-committee with Sen. Bala Abdulkadir as chairman.

Others are the Mobilisation sub-committee which has Uche Secondus as chairman, Logistics and Transport sub-committee has Theodore Orji as chairman, Protocol and Entertainment sub-committee has Baraka Sani as chairperson.

Ibrahim Shema will serve as Chairman of the Security sub-committee, Event Programme sub-committee has Liyel Imoke as chairman and the Medical sub-committee has  Olusegun Mimiko as chairman.

Former Senate President Ken Nnamani will serve as vice chairman of the main committee, Rufai Ahmed Alkali as member, while Anyim Pius Anyim will serve as the secretary of the committee.
